[__ Prayer __] Feeling a bit sick.

I am feeling much better today. My head has cleared up. Now that my head doesn't hurt as badly, I can feel how bad my lungs are. It's like stubbing your toe at the same time you slam your thumb with a hammer. You don't realize how bad your toe hurts until thumb settles down.
I am breathing easier today and my lungs are not tight. My coughs are productive.
All in all, thank you for your prayers.

Good to hear and I will be praying for you.

I haven't been able to stay in bed. Been sitting up working from home.
I inherited a 250 line query at work and I expanded it to about 400 lines (filtering for a single record to make sure my add on was correct). I'm up to about 400 lines. When I took off my filter, I got 8 billion records returned. Oops. That tells me I've got duplicate records. Skimmed the code, made some adjustments and now I'm down to 5 billion. I should only have a few hundred thousand records...something is terrible wrong. Did some more digging and the base query I was given is junk. It's not salvageable. This morning I will start over and write the entire query from scratch. I'll be working this weekend.,. It's a lot of work.

My head has cleared up, no need for meds, I don't think anyway. I'll see. I'm tired, really tired but the fog over my brain feels lifted. Now that my head feels better, I can really feel how bad my lungs hurt. I think it's one of those situations where you stub your toe, but you can't feel it because you smacked your thumb with a hammer at the same time.
Seems like you have a lot to do. At least you do not have to exert yourself physically, but the mental challenge can be draining. Feel better soon my friend :hug

Yes, I spent the better part of yesterday trying to salvage the query to no avail. At 6:30 pm I scraped all 450 lines and started new. Worked on it till about 9:30 pm and got a good chunk of it finished. Hopefully I can put 8 -10 hours in on it today and wrap it up after church tomorrow. It was due Friday and I'm holding an application team up by missing my deadline.

That being said, I feel pretty good this morning. I've got light congestion, lungs are feeling good ( no burning or squeezing) and my coughs are productive. I feel like I'm continuing to move in the right direction. Meanwhile, my wife developed a dry cough last night, but it's gone this morning.

Our neighbor got Covid last fall and is still experiencing side effects including lack of taste and vertigo. Her husband and son both tested negative and neither were affected.

We have a good friend who's Dad was diagnosed with Covid a few weeks ago. My wife got a text this morning the he just passed away. It's so sad.

This Covid thing has to have some ryme and reason to it. I've heard blood type plays a role. My wife's co-worker tested positive a few weeks ago and we are mirroring symptoms except mine is lasting longer, so I'm sure I have Covid. In all, I've had worse cases of the flu and pneumonia.

What an odd strain. Some people get it and it does nothing. It ranges from nothing to death.

It's looking brighter for you Jeff, as far as the covid goes. Sorry about your work problem and also about losing your friend.
Praying everything will soon be back to normal for you.

Thanks Tessa. Actually, it was the father of a friend. I had never met him.
I'm holding steady and am about the same as yesterday. No real improvement or decline other than to say my coughs are extremely productive.

Started feeling a tickle in my throat Sunday. Monday it turned into a head cold. Yesterday it moved into my lungs.
My breathing is fine, but I've been up all night with a cough. Clear mucus is coming up, so that's good. The little sleep I did get was sitting up in a chair. I'm running a mold temperature.

I'm not concerned if this is Covid or not. I'm not letting fear take hold. That being said, if it gets worse and I go to the hospital I'll get a test. Until then, I'm just staying at home.

Please keep me in your prayers.
Pray for a swift recovery and perfect health sir.
May God bless you!

Are you still taking meds for the cough? With it being productive I think is a good sign ??
I stopped taking meds two days ago. I still have light congestion and I can be heard even this morning hacking phlegm up every morning. It’s more of a nuisance than anything.
God is good, and I’m very thankful my wife only got a mild temp and a scratchy throat for a few hours. Hers was very short lived.

I missed this thread for some reason. Sorry to hear about this. Just awful.
Thanks. I've only got a runny nose and a mild cough here and there, but I feel great.
My wife on the other hand just got it. It just made it into her lungs today... And she's still working. I told her to take a few days off, but she won't.

Oh no! Praying for you both.
Thanks. Nobody in her office is concerned about Covid. It seems to be the norm in our county lol. The people we know, including two of her office workers who tested positive had mild and moderate symptoms. It makes me wonder if the strain we have in our area is a mutated version. I honestly don't know.
But she is off to work. I hope she doesn't wear out.

It is a very strange virus. Who can truly understand it? It does sound as if your area has a mutated strain. Still you can do without it. :lol
We have just come out of another lockdown, but our county is the top tier restrictions.
There is an end to everything, even this covid.
God's blessings to you and your wife Jeff. I will still be praying.

I just wanted to say this for anyone else reading ( we get more guests than members who read our posts).

I don't know if our family has or have had Covid. We've never been tested and don't want to be tested unless there is a need to go to the hospital.

My neighbor had Covid and she is still feeling the effects months later. Her taste has not fully returned and she suffers dizziness ect. Her husband and son both tested negative and didn't get as much as a sniffle.

I've had friends test positive and a week later you would never know they were sick, and I have another friend who just lost her Father to Covid.

I just don't want anyone to walk away with the idea I think Covid is a hoax or can't be dangerous or deadly. But in the same breath Covid is not a death sentence either, and most of us should not live in fear of it.
