Flowers On A Grave

Okay folks if somebody dies close to you, and you are a Christian, and the person who died is a Christian, and we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord,is it okay to visit their grave. Even though you know that they are not there. Is it okay to put flowers on the grave, even though you know they are not there, but only the flesh that encased their soul and spirit. People who do not know God tend to do this the most, but is it okay for a Christian to visit the graves of loved ones. Is it okay to visit urns in niche houses ? So as Christians, where do we draw the line, as soon as the body is eased down into the grave ? Or as Christians are we allowed to grieve freely ? As a well learned and Holy Ghost filled Christian we don't see death like the world, why ? Because we know the truth, but' we are still human and we still hurt and we still have a hard time letting go at times. I have seen Christians bury a loved one and never go back again unless another relative has to go to the same place as the last. And then I see people mostly not Christians who spend a great deal of time at a loved ones grave. But where does the Christian draw the line ? Is it okay to put flowers on that grave

An person choice... I am not a grave visiting person.. Some folks are .. In the days of Jesus they took care of the dead spices and wrappings .. I think it is choice.. I dont have to visit my dad's grave to say I sure miss my dad our i miss ya daddy...

We do flowers, jews leave pebbles.but it's uncommon to have flowers either. I have left a pebble on my Jewish kin after reciting the kaddish

All comes down to a persons preference as I think it truly doesn't matter to God one way or another.

I agree that it is a personal preference. The three oeople I loveed the most have gone over already and two, I'm certain, went into Hell to await the Great white Throne Judgement. But anything I do now will have no effect on their final disposition and I refuse to drive myself crazy trying what god has said not to do. I miss my dad tremendously but he is nhot in that hole.
