Hello everyone.
Here's a no strings offer to everyone at CF.net.

As some of you know, i recently started Glorify Fitness. A Christian based (not exclusively though) fitness blog.
It's still in it's infancy but is gaining momentum with more and more views each day.
I'm developing more articles and features at the moment and will be aiming for fresh content at least 3 times per week. (I write health and fitness articles for a living, now I want to do it for God)

Okay, the offer.IT REALLY IS TOTALLY FREE
It's simple. If you have a business and want a free plug put out, PM me.
I'll need your web address or some other form of information about your business and you ( first name only and NO personal details).

WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESSES?
Anyone who provides a service or sells a product.
Artists, Muso's, mechanics, dog walkers, hit men and women? :silly really anyone.

WHAT I'LL DO
I'll write a short bio of your business with contact details for prospective clients.
Once I've written it, I'll post it and a link on the home page for One week. After that, I'll move it to the "Glorify Fitness Friends and freebies Page".
I've already done it for CF.net and Corey's "Tool's for Christ.com" site. You can check those out by clicking the link in my signature.
I'm willing to include a couple of images / photos supplied by you if that's what you want.
If I get a high number of requests, I'll put you in a queue and cycle through it until everyone has had their turn on the home page and you'll remain on the friends page until you tell me to remove it.

WHAT I WILL NOT DO
I won't promote your site or business if there is any material offensive to Christian living. (porn adverts, gambling, pyramid sales schemes, viagra and sex related sales etc.)
I won't provide SEO marketing free of charge. (If you want that, PM me and we can discuss a price as per my normal clients outside of CF.net)
I won't recommend buying your products or services without having seen them, I'll simply state what you sell or what service you provide and give it a nudge.
I won't ask you for money later on. AS stated this is FREE to give something back to the forum members who have made me feel so welcome. (only people wanting SEO promos will be required to pay)

WHAT DO I WANT IN RETURN?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
Like I said it's my way of putting something back in to CF.net via it's members.
(except for SEO's)
So there you have it folks.
If you've got any questions please PM me
Blessings to you all
Paul

Agape, Search Engine Optimization is using keywords about your product and services and then using those words in the bio / article a certain number of times. The idea is to get your website listed higher up on search engines. Usually in the first 10 or 15 listings. Then people typing in those key words during their search on a given product see the link to your website before they see a competitors. Research has shown most people only look at the first 10-15 search results for any given search. That means if you aren't on the first 2 pages your traffic will be reduced..
It gets more technical than that, as you need to work on the density of keywords, page rankings on Quake or other SEO platforms , variations of keywords etc. Also you still need to write an article for people, not just the search engine. if people visit the aricle and it's just a bunch ofkeyword with no information value,9 times out of 10 they'll leave without buying anything or book marking your site.
To write an SEO article takes about an hour of solid keyword searching and variation before I even start writing an article. The during the writing process, I need to insert the keywords into each paragraph in a way that still makes sense to the reader, while keeping them on the page.

The last part is a call to action. Making them want to buy the service or product, or continue visiting your site in the future.

I hope that helps Agape.
Blessings in Christ

Thanks Paul, was once a SEO Advisor in my free time, was fun but too time-consuming, so I had to quit.
Lemme put in my two cents' worth. Repetition of key words in articles is not enough to improve SERPs. We also need to put them where search engines look in the website, including URL, title and description. Linking to quality site is equally important but not easy because we need quality content to get quality backlinks. However, ONE single link to a good website is better than 1000 links to bad websites and relevance is key in SEO. If I have a blog for "christian women", I can link it to "quality" sites on "recipes" or even "cleaning tips", that may work. However, if my blog is about "the parable of Jesus Christ", and I link it to sites on recipes or cleaning tips, that will just spam my blog. Relevance is more important than popularity and page rank if we agree that search rank is more important than page rank. I would rather have my site in the Google Golden Triangle with a low PR than be on page 2 or 3 with a high PR.

Good luck with your blog, and thanks for helping other christian webmasters. May the Lord bless you. ;)

Agape, what you have said is absolutely spot on. I didn't go into too much detail in my reply as I assumed by your post, that like many others you were unaware of SEO techniques and it's purpose.
Blessing in Christ
