But man enslaves man with the dollar, dangling the carrot before him that's in the chains of labour. Let us trade all your time for a morsel of life.

That's right brother. Luckily for me, I've always held money in contempt. It's only money. Sure we need it, but not as bad as we think we do. The way I figure it, why stress over it? Stress to get the bills paid?! Ha! For what? Tomorrow there will be more bills. SO do something nice for the wife, give the guy holding a sign up a few bucks. Whatever. I'll never be able to "afford" to do most anything because of the way the system is set up. If you want to do something and have some semblance of a life...you have to just "Take" the money. But don't worry, the bills will still be there. They wont go away.

I had this attitude before I was walking with the Lord. So when I learned biblical precepts concerning money, it was pretty easy to accept them and to incorporate them into my life. Now I stress even less about money! Now...I feel rich. I don't pray for money. The Lord knows what I need. I just continue to thank Him for my daily bread and that I have a roof over my head and a comfortable bed to sleep in. :)

Money is a big distraction and people take it way too seriously.

Sadly, money is a part of life and it doesn't grow on trees so we trade our time and skills for it. If you feel like a slave, you need to find a different trader.

Exactly. I have also found it to be helpful to change perspective. You don't work for the boss of the company. You don't work for the customer. you work unto the Lord. This perspective made a big change in how I perceive my job and work.

Money doesn't grow on trees. It grows at the federal reserve

Well, your first list is uh, as they say...right on the money, lol. Though it may be listed almost exactly backwards, lol. I don't think many people realize how much impact that love (or the lack of it) impacts our lives. (maybe they do?)

In your second list, you perhaps became confused brother. You left out a primary one and added an innocuous inanimate object. If you replaced "Guns" with people, then that list too would be right on the money.

This is close enough to be called a loaded question I suppose.

Thieves.

Which is why I'm going to be growing my own garden, and filtering my own water. Who said their had to be a price on resources to live? What if I some day harnessed air, and made everyone pay to breathe. Then you'd be asking where do you get your air?

By "thieves" do you mean you steal your food and water?

And the reason I asked to begin with is because you said money kills people. If money is evil, where do you get the things you need to sustain your life?

Just curious.

Brother, you totally missed it what he meant. :wink

This is key right here. You don't need money to be sustained. I don't need to take the road men tell me to take, just because it's how everyone else does it.

If you want a car, hey pay for it with money you don't have yet!
If you want an education, pay for it with money you don't have yet!
Taxes go to bull such as astrobiology, and other pseudosciences. Or better yet, child indoctrination. How is that helping me stay sustained?
Why should I pay for something that easily pops out of the ground, or drink something that flows freely in banks?

That's right. The higher ups run with a dark darwinian mindset, and want to have power over everything that breathes.

This is the golden rule: the one who has the gold makes the rules.

Plus money is the real reason the soldiers are out in the middle east. And poppies. But it all boils down to money.

Money kills.

Nah, he meant that God provides for us. We get our food and water from God.
If that's the case then, that's the truth, and I made a misjudgement.

But I'm not seeing that in the contexts (e.g: "the reason I asked to begin with is because you said money kills people").

Oh yeah, I did sort of imply that by agreeing with that list huh? Well, money itself is inanimate object also and doesn't really kill people either, it's greed and the love of money (by people) that cause many many people to be killed...by people.

Who pays for the roof over your head? Who paid for your last 25 meals? Where do you get the water to stay hydrated? Where do you shower, where do you sleep?

Unless you're naked and living in a cave, eating roots and drinking out of a stream, someone invested a lot of money in you. A lot of that evil money that kills was used to keep you alive.

You should think about that.

This doesn't prove that money is needed or good. It just sates the fact that money is used to get things. That's the thing. It's man that has deemed money a need. It's not a need. It's a desire. It's a want. It doesn't sustain. It just enslaves. It's fake. It doesn't have value.

Money is the worst thing ever invented.

White chocolate is second.
