Neither is GOD a man.

GOD is neither a woman nor a man.

Why do we refer to GOD as, HE, HIM, HIS etc...when actually GOD isn't any of those? Is it not kind of adding to the Word

yes but god uses our words and ideas so that we can relate and know how as we best can to his workings. God hasn't told us everything
It's how our language(s) tend to work. Wouldn't seem respectful to call God an "It".

Actually, we don't know WHAT God is, other that the vague and nebulous word, "Spirit", that we use.... not really even knowing what THAT means.

His Name literally means Being.

Doesn't scripture refer to God as He and Him? I don't think it's disrespectful to refer to Him as He, better than "it" as was noted.

The whole of Scripture is written
pa·tri·ar·chal
ˌpātrēˈärk(ə)l/
adjective
  1. 1.
    of, relating to, or characteristic of a patriarch.
  2. 2.
    of, relating to, or characteristic of a system of society or government controlled by men.
    "a patriarchal society"
I find that very comforting :)

Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

To name a few.

I find that comforting to hear a woman speak so. :)

I take comfort in this designation: I AM.

That's all I need to know. God Is. Glory!
