Hey Parker, pick a good Sunday morning song for us all.

Well, after the "rejoicersize",

How about:
"I worship you, almighty God."
Followed by:
"Majesty"
followed by
"Lift your your heads to the coming king"
followed by
"To him who sits on the throne"
Followed by everybody on their faces worshiping.

I led worship in a Pentecostal church for over 10 years and then did the opening worship prior to the liturgy in a liturgical church in which we did the Western rite with occasional interruptions for a prophesy or word of knowledge and prayer for healing at the close. See? "Orthocostal"

Seems great, except for one thing;
I can't hear your voice.
Can you sing a little louder?

I don't believe anyone should do this who is not being moved to do so out of the sincerity of their heart. But in a mechanized meeting you are required to do it whether it's sincere or not. Reminds me of those who honored Jesus with their lips but their hearts were far away from him.

People should be made aware of this so they don't take false comfort in cold, dead procedures while their hearts remain far from God. That's what is so terribly wrong with cold, dead 'religion' (again, in the negative connotation of the word).

In the kind of church Paul describes, people get built up through interactive fellowship with one another, and praise and worship and prayer then become sincere and full of the Spirit, thereby being effective and edifying. In other words, the Spirit inhabits it.
