Halloween and the Dark Side

Halloween isn't celebrated in Iceland, although some people are trying to import it. Back in the old days (1971, to be exact) I was living in the United States. Halloween was on a Sunday that year, and I remember the debates that caused, even though I wasn't a Christian at the time. Many parents said that Halloween was a Satanic holiday and they wouldn't let their children go trick-or-treating on the Lord's Day. But they don't seem to have had a problem letting them trick-or-treat on Saturday. I guess it's only Satanic on Sunday, but okay on any other day. Many kids, who had no problem with any Satanism that might be involved, when out both days.
