God's Marine here, Wayne Freeman. USMC: 1968-1970; God's Marine: 1980-2005. The major lesson I've learned in 25 years of serving God is God's way is always the best way. God's goal is to help us to live the kind of life He wants for us, & to help us to have the kind of relationship with one another He wants us to have. It's hard to have any kind of real relationship with anyone when there are things in your life you don't want anyone to find out about you. You will tend to keep everyone you know @ arm's length, even the ones you care most about. In the Bible there's one clearly named ministry, the ministry of reconciliation; & there's one clearly named message, the word of reconciliation (2nd Corinthians 5:18-21). God's number one priority has always been relationships; first your relationship with Him, & 2nd your relationship with everyone else. He strives to rid your lives of those things that make any kind of real relationship nearly impossible. I believe in walking in the light of God. I believe in allowing God to reveal those things in mylife that are destroying the relationships in my life. Do you?
