Hitting back a woman - a taboo, an evil

Opening this back up with the hope that we can bring it down a notch and have a Lounge-like conversation. Can we do that? Let's not accuse others of supporting domestic violence. That's a good place to start. :yes

I don't ever want to hit a girl again. They're God's Children and He loves them a lot. Besides they make the world a nice place. Women are a magnificent help meet, Praise the Lord for Girls! They're different, and usually have such sweet spirits. Their helpful and I noticed that they actually work pretty hard. Most of them have good hearts and they smell good.

You know how people have taken to thanking Service men for thier service in recent years? To show some gratitude and appreciation. Nothing wrong with that. Well it occurs to me that women are similar in this respect. I thank the girls for their service to men. They work a lot longer hours than men do. If you have kids, then they don't really get a day off. Cooking-cleaning 365 days a year, and most of them take it in stride and remain joyful. That's admirable.

And, by the way, I never suggested we edit anything from the Bible. I didn't even edit the word from your post. I just didn't want to have it appear in my post. Slow your roll.
I noticed but seriously? I didn't define how the military defines sodomy, and rape or how the states define.the term rape isn't listed in the state code.it's sexual battery.

Our view of sodomy isn't the same as the world.

:nod :yes :clap :salute :thumbsup

Need I say more??

No one should hit back at a woman; no one should hit a man in retribution.

However if a woman fondly hits a man please let her know how you feel and that her attitude is cruel and uncalled for

No way, Brother! That's a different situation altogether, lol. She hits me in fondness (playful) she's going down! Lol...No way would I go all metrosexual on her when she's playing. That would be pretty pathetic I think.

(I don't think I misunderstood you...)

Never be a gentleman and suffer in silence

We don't have to. If she's playing around, likely she is wanting to play. If you stop her and begin explaining that it was cruel, and I don't appreciate being hit even like that, she's going to see that as an anti-alpha (metrosexual) thing an likely to conclude that you are a ninny and a bore.

Women secret:....
Women do not like being raped per se, but I think deep down inside they like being...uh, ravaged, shall we say? Big alpha man swoop her off of her feet and carry her off to the (marriage) bed.

Old time joke.
He begins "taking her"
Her: No! Please don't! Stop!...
No, please don't, stop...
no, please don't stop!

I think it's a hard wired control thing. Yes, women like to control the men. But there's a part of them deep down inside that likes to be controlled. This may be women's definition of " a real man". It's probably linked to the Lords statement to Eve, in the garden of Eden. He shall rule over thee...This had to have an effect on her being. The Lords creative power in His words when He spoke this to her.

A man which loves his wife and cares for her, is loyal and true, who does not slap her around, who provides for her, honors her, and all that stuff can have his way with her. Her body is not her own, it is the mans (and vice versa).
They're trying to make being a man not politically correct, so what I say probably sounds like the ravings of a mad man lol. But natural inclinations care not a whit for political correctness.

Characteristically fondly - - in the negative
Hehehehehe

Oh, you mean like...he did something wrong (a petty small thing) and she gives him a symbolic punch on the arm or wotnot?

Ummmm, I still think not, Brother. The symbolic tap she give him prolly indicates that it's not a big deal and she's lettin it go instead of pushing it to deterioration into a fight or argument. Sounds like he should drop that one. She's trying to let it go, so that would be a bad time to hit her back, or to explain to her that oh please don't hit me that's not right... Hard to really generalize with this situation. There'd be so many variables that it's impossible to tell the proper reaction that one should give in a particular situation.

I remember a piece of advice that my earthly dad gave me right after I was married way back in the day..."Don't sweat the small stuff" he said. Let it go. That was good advice. Nowadays it sees like common arguments which shouldn't go anywhere start heading down the path of, well maybe we should just get divorced. Bleh. Hang in there.

But there's a good chance that she's right, in which case to start telling her that it was cruel & uncalled for right then would likely escalate the situation. I disagree, Brother.

I'd rather hug than hit.

Me too and I'm not even a hugger. The way I see it is this, as a supporter of women's rights I really hate saying this but generally speaking women are weaker than men and they don't even have the capacity to fight back and the law protects that. I know that this topic was started a long time ago before I showed up and I am just repeating what others have said but that is only my opinion.
