Armored by my faith
And shielded by my devotion
The devil tempts me day and night
His whispers of evil in motion
A guardian angel goes before me
His presence driving away the fears
Pain and suffering I may feel
Along with sorrowful tears
But know ye now how I stand
My strength boistered from above
I will not give in to this sea of sin
For I still believe in His love
I stand my ground and pray to God
To lend me the will to carry on
Grant unto me the reserve of spirit
To not fall for the most wicked con
Living and dying are but a flash
Of what lies beyond in eternity
You may not agree with my decisions
But you can't answer to Him for me
Sometimes I follow, sometimes I lead
At other times I walk the path alone
But in the end I know my weight
And what my heart hath shown
It is hard to do at times
When the world stacks its weight
They try to beat you down
Tender mercy, the end in fate
So go with God in your own way
May you find virtue in your own right
Remember to always be vigilant
To heaven your soul may take flight
Holding on...
