I was just wondering about something. Although divorce itself is a sin, obviously there are times when it's alright like when it comes to being cheated on or abused,.. so are there times when you shouldn't listen to your parents? Like thank the Lord above I have the best parents in the world,.. but a lot of so called parents don't even deserve to have children in my mind. They physically and/or verbally abuse their kids or teach them that it's alright to steal, lie, etc. So what is a kid to do in that circumstance? And what if there are times when your parents truly are wrong about a certain issue? Nine times out of ten they know better than you do, but how do you know for sure if they truly are mistaken about something?

Act 5:29 "Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."
Hello again Dear Sister. Here is what I feel is the answer to your question....

When you know, because of your knowledge of God's Word that an instruction from a parent or State command is against God's command, we obey God, not man.

Love You,
Chopper :hug
