How close is too close for friends...

I have several close friends who are females. I hug, tickle, and treat them as respectfully as I would a future girl friend. This is a topic being discussed on cf.com, and I think it is a great topic. For me all this is fine, because I have no desire to date these young ladies. What do you singles think?

It is too close when a relationship gets sexual(A relationship not marriage, or a "friendship", that is.) A hug or kiss even does not have to be sexual, nor does a male and female relationship(friendship) have to be. Sex ruins relationships, especially if it was a friendship first. Just my 2 cents.

Well you're two cents are good words. I think a lot of people equate physical touch with intimacy, and that's just not true.

If I may ask, please don't delete Ironhide's post. Even if we disagree with it, that view is shared by many. Its not blasphemous against God, and so we should try and respect Ironhide's thoughts.

If he chooses to elaborate, great, but lets not arbitarily delete posts we don't agree with please.

Hmm... I think usually, "you both know", when somethings gone to far. Would you do that with a guy friend? Might be a question that comes to mind, but I don't think basic flirting is too far.
