How did you end up in the State you now live in?

You don't have to tell us what State you live in, just tell us how you got there (born there, moved there, exiled there, etc.).

I have a sister-in-law who lives in this state. Enough said?

Drove half way here in my car that decided to break down. Got towed the rest of the way and have yet to figure out how to get out of here. Making the most of it, however, by raising a large family and working for a rather large company with potential to move elsewhere (internationally even) somewhere down the road.

Been here, in the state at least, ever since my mom moved here per Navy orders, 18 years or so ago. (She's been out of the Navy for like...16 years?)

Born and raised in upstate New York. Moved to Connecticut 35 years ago so we could be near my wife's family. Came back to the state where my ancestors had lived 230 years earlier

Never walk into an airport while inebriated is the lesson I have learned from being stuck living in this state.
:lol2

OK. Really I could have lived anywhere when I got out of school but chose TN because of low taxes and family nearby.

Now that both reasons are gone I'm ready to escape.

When there used to be a long country drive around the bay between you and your neighboring easterly city?
No, the Gandy bridge between us and Tampa was built, but we did have to take the ferry to Ruskin to go south.... or drive miles and miles around. The Skyway was built when I was nine or ten.
