Humility

humble soul

I've been accused of hubris before but let me make one thing very clear. I am one humble soul.
Humility is my strength. I always welcome opinions that validate my own. I let others work, if there is a job to be done. I rarely look down on others unless they are sitting and I am standing. I listen to others very attentively, especially when they are praising me. I don't see myself as any better than anyone else, unless I am. (better than them)
I pray in public often where people can see how humble I am. I am prepared to admit I made a mistake. (haven't made any yet though)
I pray for all the poor unfortunate people who aren't on my level yet.
Humility is hard work usually but it comes naturally to me.

Speaking of humility, I'm gonna need some when I bump into my siblings again. They all live on the opposite side of Australia. will most likely be a funeral that I see them.
One of us is likely to make a sarcastic comment about the other. I'm hoping that person is not me. Also a comment could be misinterpreted as negative easily. For some reason I've drifted apart from them. We don't have much common ground really. I've become a weird loner perhaps. I can live with that label. I just hope I don't react to any insults, perceived or real. I'm not into drama. Our family are not drama queens. We pretty much leave our emotions in our back pockets.
This post is a kind of prayer really. That we all act maturely and try to see the best in each other. It's challenging. Forgiveness is not easy. Not as easy as some people say it is.
