I used to think similar to the way you do now. When I was 19 I thought God just stood there sitting around. He does not answer prayers. Real accomplishments come from all our own efforts. . Years later when my life was going down I started asking for God.
God did call me many times earlier in life. But I only took time to listen. I never took time to apply it to any of my thinking. The problem is the Bible was absent in my life. How can I defend God or be against God if I don’t know what God really is about.
You say you need to take action. God does not talk much. He does not answer that many prayers. These are your observations with your eyes and ears. The Bible says.

walk by faith, not
by sight.

You need to learn more about God before you make all these claims. It’s not a big deal for me to deny Hypnosis. Even if this practice is not dangerous at all it’s still not an act of true faith. You said it yourself the doctors were help but God was not.
You see buildings built by men. But who created the rocks? You see medicine but who put that in the Earth in the first place? Look at yourself and who created mankind? You have light during the day and moon by night. Who gave us these Lights? You have water to drink food to eat who gave us food? Before you give God so less of credit to make Him silent find out more why you believe He is and why you think He is not much about answering prayers. It would not sound good at Church to hear believe in God. Have Great Faith.. But now I say God does not say much. He won’t answer our prayers often. If God does not much please go do it yourself. . Is that a Church message one wants to believe? Certainly not. And that is not what the Bible teaches.
Yes there is a reason for people to go out and work. It is commandant in the Bible for people to work. So we can’t expect something not doing anything. God is more behind the plans that our eyes can take notice of. Most of the solid Christians still don’t know how God does what God is able to do. Personally as one being blind God has done amazing things. I’ve done things but I don’t pat myself on the back. God has provided and has kept us safe. .
I’m not angry at all. I do understand you have these beliefs of God. We all have questioned God in all matters at one time or another. We all believed God was not around at times. It is not that way.
Psalm 139
New King James Version (NKJV)
God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
139 O Lord, You have searched me and known
me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
4 For
there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
5 You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
6
Such knowledge
is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot
attain it.
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You
are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You
are there.
9
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
Even the night shall be light about me;
12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light
are both alike
to You.
