Bible Study I am horrifed. I fear most are going to hell.

How do we KNOW we are saved without a shadow of a doubt?

Luke 13:23-24 and 28, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able ... There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.”

I fear hell more than anything else, and I fear that only a few will make it to heaven and avoid hell, and that most of us are going to burn in hell for all eternity. WHY IS THIS?

I know God is good and just, but..... why? Even I can burn in hell for all eternity!

Yes you could. If you didn't believe this verse. The question is,.. do you?

Romans 10:9 "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved.

Sure it also helps to do good onto people, but that seems like a pretty straight forward verse. And trust me brother, I know how you feel. I doubt my salvation from time to time, but I don't fear death or He'll because I have done all that is required of me. And God has promised eternal life for all who truly believe and love Him. :cross Be rested assured, that if you are worried about losing your salvation, chances are really good that you already have it. Otherwise, why would you care? Jesus loves you and I bless you in His name.

Well I hope Jesus loves me (I know deep down he does), I am praying to him now telling him all my fears. Hell is forever, and the fact that one soul even goes there forever and ever and ever, really scares me beyond anything ever imaginable. And this verse says MOST HUMANS ON EARTH WILL GO TO HELL FOR EVER!!!!

Also, I have been recently taught that if you truly follow Jesus, your friends and family will leave you, you will be hated by almost everyone, and if you do not give up your all to Jesus, friends, family, everything... I will perish. Why is this be?

I love Jesus and know that my will shall not be done, but thy will be done, but why is this BE?!?!?!?

I have been listening to this guy on YouTube, and he has a lot of horrifing messages, but I believe he is warning us out of love, but his messages are hard to sallow, and I believe his messages are the same as God's true message.

It is too dangerous that one professes a "christian" assumes that they are saved, when in reality they may not be. This is forever.

Also, I also believe you can hear Jesus's voice, and have a REAL relationship with him. But I do not hear his voice, and fear I never truly knew Jesus. I want a REAL relationship with him, but how can I have a relationship with Jesus when I can not hear his voice?

Good message.

I am going to be one hundred percent honest with you. I am mentally disabled and I don't know all that much about the Bible yet so this is coming from what I understand in my heart instead. God LOVES us. He truly does. I really do believe it. He doesn't want us to be afraid. He doesn't want to be separated from us for all of eternity. Why else would He send His only begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins in the most brutal way possible? I think of course I could be wrong,.. but I think that that verse is saying that most people will wind up in Hell because that's exactly where they want to be. They want to be separated from Him because they reject Him. I'm not just talking about being on the fence about it either. I'm talking downright rejection. So even though God loves all of us and it hurts Him deeply, He never forces Himself on anybody. If we choose to believe and actually want and care about our salvation and spending eternity with Him, why on earth would He send us to Hell? For John 6:37 says; "All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will NEVER drive away."

Also, I also believe you can hear Jesus's voice, and have a REAL relationship with him. But I do not hear his voice, and fear I never truly knew Jesus. I want a REAL relationship with him, but how can I have a relationship with Jesus when I can not hear his voice?

Good message.

It's funny that you should bring that up because I can and have heard His voice. Just give me a little bit of time and then I will copy and paste my testament story to you. I don't know how to do diddly on my tablet lol

Okay. I have to give up ALL sin and repent and confess them to Jesus and be holy to hear HIS voice...

Ummm,.. sorry brother. Lol that's impossible. The only sinless person was Jesus. And believe it or not God came to me when I needed Him, I didn't exactly want Him there at the time. Mostly it was telepathic, but I did hear Him audibly a couple of times. I'm not sure whether you will believe it or not, but I'm heading to my laptop right now.

By the way, if anybody happens to be reading this and knows about my unorthodox Christian beliefs and is wondering how I could possibly believe this please send me a PM and I will explain it there since for one I don't want to confuse the poor guy and two,.. this is Bible study and everything here is meant to be orthodox. So yeah, please don't respond to this message. :topic I am trying to help this poor guy out the best I can so we need to focus more on him. Not me.

Jesus is the gate, there is no other.

All the Old Testamment Prophets and Men of God looked, "forward" to the coming of the promised Messiah.

That's where their faith was, in him, even though the anointed Saviour had not yet been born and died on the Cross.

Take the verse you mentioned along with all the other verses and you begin to see what Jesus was talking about.

Jesus said, "where is your faith?" (Luke 8:25)

Is your faith in him? In his Atoning work on the Cross?

Or is your faith in your own righteousness? Your own works?

"...I have been listening to this guy on YouTube, and he has a lot of horrifing messages, but I believe he is warning us out of love, but his messages are hard to sallow, and I believe his messages are the same as God's true message..."

"And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” - Mark 9:6 (Emphasis mine)

Listen to Jesus, not doomsayers who talk about Jesus. Yes we might learn from other Ministries about God and his ways but the Holy Bible should have final authority in your life.

Hi there imokay2121. And you are Ok. You, my new friend, are asking yourself and others that wonder the same thing about their destiny. I'm actually glad that you're asking these very important questions now in your beginnings of your walk with Jesus.

Actually HeIsRisen has made a very accurate statement in post #2. You wouldn't be asking all these questions if you were not saved. Take a look at Romans....Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (KJV)

Here is a famous Scripture on Salvation....
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God". (ESV)

God did not make the plan of Salvation difficult for anyone to understand. He knew that not everyone has the same mental capacity to understand spiritual life changing events. Especially Salvation.

Since you like video's on Salvation, here is a video from my Hebrew Teacher, Alan Horvath titled "How Do I Know I'm Saved? www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApPz0EwAnSU

Alan has over a hundred videos on just about every subject that anyone has questions about....Enjoy!

I'll try and answer any question you might have.

Lets look at another Scripture.

I prefer to believe the Bible on this. How are Abraham's descendants going to outnumber the stars and the grains of sand on the beach (paraphrased... so go read it for yourself) if there are only going to be a few of us?

Okay. I have to give up ALL sin and repent and confess them to Jesus and be holy to hear HIS voice...
First of all, even a very little amount of study might help you understand what the word,"repent", actually is.

But yeah, what I've come to learn is if you're in fear of not having a secure eternal salvation you really actually have it after all. Otherwise you wouldn't care and be so concerned about it.

WHY IS THIS?
People go to hell because they choose to reject Jesus as Lord of their lives and, instead, become their own Lord.
We all have 2 choices: (1) follow Jesus and (2) follow the devil (pretending to be your own desires.)
If you choose Jesus then you get to hang out with Him for all eternity.
If you choose the devil then you get to hang out with him for all eternity.
Jesus' accommodations are waaaaaay better.

See? Easy-peezy!

iakov the fool

If someone "fears going to Hell", maybe they should be afraid. Obviously they are not trusting that what Jesus said was true.

Don't stop there bro, keep reading-
When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ Luke 13:25‭-‬27
Jesus is telling the crowd that a casual acquaintance with Jesus isn't enough. Living in the same street and eating in the same cafe isn't enough, neither is 'well I believe he exists.'

There is only one entrance into Heaven, repentance and following Jesus. Repentance is more than believing Jesus exists and trying to be good. It's the Spiritual experience, like what was offered to Nicodemus -
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:5‭-‬6 NKJV

You need to give yourself completely to Jesus and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, when you experience the Spirit's cleansing and leading in your life then you'll 'feel like a saved disciple'. That's the beginning of your journey. God bless and lead you bro, don't give up.
