Hi guys,

What do you think is the role of the young people in ministry? I believe that God is calling the young Christians to step up and represent the Kingdom. I recently answered the call of God to ministry myself and received a message about the youth!

Can the young people be effective ministry leaders?

Here is a written transcript of the message:

I Call you Young People, For you are Strong

For some reason I couldn't get into the site that you gave, donnell.

Anyway, it's great that you feel the way you do. I have a question to ask, however. Is it possible to get the interest of young people without the extra padding of 'pop-culture'? I've noticed how many Pentecostal churches today encourage youth recruitment by presenting Jesus Christ as 'Mr. Cool' to the guys and as a 'surrogate boyfriend' to the girls. I do question this contemporary image of Jesus and I'm wondering how you feel about it. In fact, I may open up this question generally on a new thread.

Definitely not into that pop culture stuff

I am not a big fan of sugar coating the gospel to make it sound the way people will like it. I think the message of the Kingdom must be clear and it should all be supported by the Bible.

The young people I speak of are founded in the Word of God and leave no doubt concerning their thirst for growth. I wrote about it in detail in the message.

Nonetheless, I tried the link and it works! Nonetheless, you can just cut and paste it into a new window and it will work also. You probably have HTML disabled!

Sputnik: Good response. donnell, thanks. I really don't know why the link didn't - and still doesn't - work. Maybe I do have HTML disabled. Must look into that possibility.

SputnikBoy, thanks for responding

You can go to my site and click on the link to Prophecy and then go back to the message dated June 7th. It's named, "I Call you, young people, for you are strong!"

You can access the site from my profile!

Thanks for taking me serious,
God bless you

It's time for the young people to step up and step forward in the things of God just the way God wants it done! [/img]

Donnell- I am so glad to hear that you are accepting the call of God on your life. I think young people can be very effective. I am glad that you are not using the new techniques of the church to win the youth. Serving the Lord is not about bringing God to our level as Sput was saying. His Spirit touches each and every person in His way without making Jesus the "cool guy" Jesus was not cool.

You see Sput we do agree on some things. That is my problem with the Pentecostal chuch. I was raised in the Pentecostal church. I went away form the church for quite a few years and when I came back this is what I found. I was shocked and I don't know what happened to the church. It is really ashame.

Thanks von

Thanks von, I'm excited about the possibility of making a mark on this earth for God!

Yep, God will bless you and reward you for taking a stand and making a difference.
