[__ Prayer __] I Need Confirmation

So this morning when I woke up, I find that I've received a text message from a Brother in the Lord.
(I don't know him)

He knew my name and received words of knowledge about me and so delivered the message.

The message was typical God style. Very little, 'ala Abraham. But the message contained details about me and my situation...enough to lend validity to, it is from God.

I do need confirmation. By the mouth of two or three witnesses shall truth be established...

So, Brother's & Sister's...please pray about this for me and ask for confirmation for me, please?

That's it. You can't have any details. God knows them. The words of knowledge that you will receive will have something in it that will give confirmation... Understand? :)

I don't expect many answers to this request, lol. :)

Mostly just one who'll have a few words of knowledge about the situation for me, as confirmation...

What was the purpose of the contact, is what I am wondering. Is it to provide advice, or just let you know they are thinking about you? Do you not know this person at all, or is it someone within your church you just don't know very well?

If it is that they are offering advice just make sure you compare it to God's word to make sure it is biblical.

If this is something you prayed for and you received it, Give thanks. If the text message was of God, He does not need a cell phone? I do not know what a typical God style is? If the text was an answer to your situation, you still thank God that He used one of us to help you. Give thanks and pass the Grace around to others (that is, when you know of someone in need and you can help, do so as it was done unto you.) You do not need two or three witnesses for an answer from God, He witnesses Himself, for if it is from God, the Spirit in you will rejoice and you will know it.

I have no message from God on this, but just wanted to say I've prayed that you will get what you need to deal with your situation. I agree with DS that I know of no reason why you need other people to confirm what God has told you directly or through one of His servants, but if you feel you need this I pray you get it. For me, if this kind of seemingly supernatural thing happens, I compare it with God's word in scripture and if the answer or directions align with scripture I take it as being from God.

Oh, it was specific instructions for me on what to do. Something I prayed about.

I didn't expect Him to answer through a Brother. But He's done that before to me, so it is in keeping with His style of talking to me.

Nevertheless, I seek confirmation, as is my style, lol.

Oh absolutely Brother. I thank and praise God for answering me, however He wishes to answer me.

Idk that my spirit is rejoicing. It wasn't something that I know how to do, or want to do. Nevertheless, not my will, but His. I won't pull a Jonah, that's for sure.

I just want to carve it in stone, and hopefully receive more detailed instruction. I've asked for confirmation before, and always get it, just like TurnorBurn says.

your confirmation is by testing the spirit that sent this message to you, 1John 4:1-6. You said it was specific instructions of what you needed as something you have prayed about so seek what that answer was and compare it to your prayer and ask God if this is what you need to do for your situation as God will confirm it to you be His Spirit.

Agreed for the most part, Brother. But this is something that, due to the nature of it...yes I want confirmation.

It's not out of alignment with any scripture.

Oh it answered my prayer allright
but I don't want to do it. I doubt if I can in fact. I've no clue where to even start.

I'll get my confirmation. Through a Brother or through His Spirit.

The Lord isn't grieved by my testing or seeking confirmation. I know this. He's probably amused by it.
 
Sounds like a cult to me. They must want money or something.

Huh? I don't understand.
Do you mean the Brother who contacted me? He didn't ask for money, and was quite bewildered by it.

He was about to read His Bible and got flooded with words of knowledge. Including my name and number, and a message. That's all.

The man sending you the text is probably from a cult. They do enough to make you believe and then they want money. He's probably a psychic medium, aka a mind reader. I don't think it's God.

If God brought you to it He alone will lead you through whatever it is He has for you to do and will show you the way. God bless you Edward.

Oh no. The tone precludes that. Besides, God has done this to me before. It's how He deals with me.

I'm just being anally cautious about the situation, besides...I'm hoping this one isn't real and I don't have to do it, lol.

He always confirms things for me.

If that guy calls back wanting my visa number I'm gonna laugh. He won't.

I would be cautious if I were you. The way international is headquartered not far from you.

Cults usually try to control your life. Don't go anywhere you can't walk out of!
