[__ Prayer __] I need to not care

Yes, again. I'm like Rodney Dangerfield...I get no respect, lol.

Seriously. People in my neighborhood are so openly disrespectful and somehow know a little too much about my psychiatric history (shrinks do this to "trouble makers..." I filed a complain w/ the medical board, so...yeah...), and its frustrating.

I care less. I pray often. I need to not care. These people have already put me through enough. I don't need them taking up room in my mind.

That's my prayer request. I mean, I'm getting a lot better...I care much, much less. I just need to not care at all, that's all.

Your on the right path. And I love to hear about how the Lord has worked in your life!

I would guess that it won't be long that these people will take up room in your mind because they are deceived and you Could be a light to them.

In fact, I would bet that you have been a light and just don't know it yet.

I never thought of that. I mean, its crazy...just crazy...the dark, dark backstory...

..but Jesus changed all that! I used to laugh at Born Again Christians. I mean, seriously...I was that misled+misguided. Now, I see the Truth (and the Truth has made me free).

I just need to care less. I mean, I pray for these people (I'm assuming they're lumped in under "enemies," lol). I do, often. I pray that God wills that I forgive and move on, because in the flesh...I can't. In the flesh, I'll try to find some psychobabble way to move on, and that almost always fails, over the long haul.

Its just rough, of course. I'm low status and openly disrespecting "schizophrenic losers" is apparently a-OK, 'round here. I don't know what I'm supposed to do or say, besides pray and come here and just...keep on keepin' on, you know?

Thanks. :)

No,no and no. You are a son, an Heir, royalty and seated with Him.

Gal 4:7~~New American Standard Bible
Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

1 Tim 6:15~~New American Standard Bible
which He will bring about at the proper time-- He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

Eph 1:20~~New American Standard Bible
which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Eph 2:6~~New American Standard Bible
and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

My personal hard learned translation. Do no have an an anxiety attack (use your favorite psychology terms), but have enough compassion and awareness to pray for others. I do not care will preclude prayer for others, and slow an individuals personal growth. Without the anxiety attack, and with enough thought we might even begin to be thankful for the exercise with growth toward godliness.

Some people fear what they don't understand. Your neighbors seem to be rather the fearful sort, since they continue to voice the comments they do.

Continue praying for them, my dear friend. Our Lord has blessed you in so many ways; pray that they will change their lives in order to share in the blessings our Lord freely gives to those who love Him.

I know from experience that, somehow it seems to help a little bit to say that you don't care. But in all reality i have discovered that what i should be telling myself, is that God cares for them, and i choose not to be bothered by their behavior. It is God's will to forgive them and bring them salvation. And if you can forgive them, and release forgiveness everytime you think of them, then it gives God a huge area to work with.

I know it can be difficult, however if you think about it, God wants these neighbors of yours saved (as He desires all men to be saved) and if they have no family members praying for their salvation, then He uses your much willing heart to intercede for them and thus God can save them and their whole families. And then as He is using you in this area..it prepares you for other areas of ministry that God has in store for you.

Be blessed brother, God thinks that you are trust worthy enough to pray for others' salvation, and open the door to Jesus in their lives. You are truly blessed!

So thank You Father for bringing C_e strength to walk in Your ways and the words to pray for those whom You desire to be saved. Thank You for trusting him with Your very special purpose...bridging the gap between them and You. We give You all of the glory! We ask Father that You shone through him, showing the gift of Your love and grace. Letting his neighbors see Jesus through him. We bind the strongman from their lives and pray, Lord of the Harvest that You get laborers across their paths, with Your Word, someone that they will listen to. We plead the Blood of Jesus over them and claim them for You, and we release Your forgiveness and love into their lives. For we know that You love them and sent Your Son to die for their sins too, and You do not hold their sins against them. Thank You Father for protecting them with ps 91, and for surrounding them with ministering angels that are preparing their hearts to receive You, and Your grace and Son, into their lives. Thank You Father for their salvation. In Jesus Name, Amen.

As always, y'all made some interesting points. Jesus didn't save me to live in shame over my past life, like The Scarlet Letter or something. I was...alot of things, lol. "Washed and clean." Besides, I'm not the only one.

I do need to pray for the salvation of those in my neighborhood. Since I've been praying for all my enemies, for God to "lavish blessings upon them, above and beyond what they actually need," I've changed. A lot. Not that prayer=therapy (far from it, thank God!), but it does change you, doesn't it?

So...yeah...good points. I haven't heard neighbors screaming (much), nor are they talking/screaming about "warrants" and "prison," so...I guess that's progress, lol. Of course, it helps to have a good attorney, which only happened because God moved on my parents' hearts. I could easily be in the state mental hospital (at best). I hear its not a very nice place...

...anyway, thanks, as always. I think things are simmering down. People now say "well, at least he has pretty hair" (I do have pretty, kinda girly hair...its like a joke from God, since I used to have thin, brittle hair), so...maybe that's moving forward? Also, I'm not dumb anymore, which is a major blessing. Its strange...for a while there, I could do OK in classes, but I was still fairly un-smart. Now, I do well in my classes (another blessing!), but I can also engage in the world around me better, which is kind of necessary, if I want to avoid being institutionalized, lol.

OK. That's about it from me, at least for now. :)

C_e...nothing is a joke from God. He has physically restored you, so that people will notice...and then you will be called upon to give a reason for your transformation. God has created within you a tangable testimony. Be very blessed brother!

I think this is one of your mountains brother. It would seem to me that rather than 'not care' about them, it may be a better approach to...give them no mind. Don't even think about it, ignore it. Remain focused on our Lord and all of the positive things that He has voiced in His word.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you./

It does not say, except when people talk trash etc. Remain positive and focused on the Lord. I believe that even thinking about things like this is wrong. Giving the enemy your attention is sort of paying homage to them. They can't touch you, you're a son of God now and shouldn't let yourself be distracted.

You know how people say, tell them to get thee behind me satan...? You don't even need to do that. Satan is already behind you and in a losing position, ever since the cross. Accept that brother and speak it. What we see and speak is what we become. Take the authority of your redeemed position and receive it, believe it, and walk in it.

Even the new agers and their teachings on positive thinking and so forth is a reality and real. The spoken word is very powerful and can accomplish anything (in the name of Jesus Christ). So begin speaking what you desire the situation to become. You don't need our prayers. You just need to take authority that Jesus has given to you.
Nevertheless, I will pray for you my brother.

I will continue to pray for you, for strength... and also for those people. It's very unfortunately.
You're right. Your past is behind you now, and you have your path with your Heavenly Father in front of you. I apologize as I am terrible with writing and don't really know how to really put it in words.
But God loves you, and you're a new creation through Jesus Christ :)

I love this post. It is so true. When we bless others be get blessed. Grace is a gift and we should be liberal in our gifting of it.
Thank you, You blessed my heart.

I care less. I pray often. I need to not care. These people have already put me through enough. I don't need them taking up room in my mind.

You need to come to an understanding, in your mind and in your heart, who these people really are that torment you. Step out of your box and take a good look at yourself, spiritually.

At what point in Jesus' ministry did He stop caring?

You're letting the devil rent space in your head and he's repaying your generosity by getting you to believe that your neighbors aren't worth your prayers and attention. He's stealing your compassion.

Pray for these people. Pray for their prosperity, pray for their health, pray for their all around well being. You need to come to an understanding within yourself that these people can do you no harm. You need to forgive them and stop talking about what they did and what they're doing.

You need to let go.
