She has suffered for years with an illness that has all but taken her life. She's been to the Mayo clinic and several other facilities but to no avail. Whatever it is, it causes her great pain and she can't even find relief from drugs. If you feel so moved to give a few dollars, the link is above. She is hoping to go to New York where there is a specialist that understands her illness.

Above all, please keep Katrina in your prayers. That doctors can find and treat what is hurting her. She has two grown children and her illness is robbing them of their mother and causes her to be bed ridden. Prayers for the family too.

Prayers avail much! I was just hoping to see Trina get past the halfway mark. Someone donated 1000 yesterday and today she's at 4000 total. Thank you for your continued prayers. I'll tell you more about Trina. Her brother, Adam, was killed in a plane crash a number of years ago. His story is here: http://lnf.org/adam-triplett/ So the family has been through a lot. Trina and Adam are my older brother's kids. Trina has two children. Adam and Morgan. Morgan, like her mother, is an avid rider and competes in contests. I hope to see them when I visit this summer. Last summer Trina was so out of sorts that she didn't want me to see her that way. :/ She has her ups and downs. She's very encouraged at the response of family and strangers. So am I. I pray she can find out what's wrong and find an effective treatment. I'm not sure of the name of what's wrong but I do believe it's neurological.

I'll update this as I find out more. It's nice to see such support for her. Keep praying.

The last time I spoke to her mom she indicated that they had more than their goal achieved. But she may need to see two separate specialist while there and how long all that takes I don't know. It's been rough on her family. She's pretty much hooked on her pain medication and that has to be dealt with also.
