I can change my avatar all day long but I cant post images from the laptop, current avatar with that old building was uploaded from my laptop and the one prior was from my phone.

can you address this? the files aren't under anything but a jpeg.

According to our computer guru...

We can't do this at this time. The updated software platform and hosting site have made things difficult. And apparently the pics you take need to be uploaded to a picture hosting site in order to be visible. Direct uploading to the site for threads is thought to make things too difficult for the software platform to handle at this juncture.

I know, I miss it too.
Hang in there...Things will get better.

Use Imgur. You don't even need an account.

It is likely things will stay this way. Uploads take a huge tax on the server that the owner doesn't really want.

imgur is a great site for posting images
