Importance of Prayer

How important is prayer on our campus, and how does it effect our lives? God has given us the priviledge of being able to talk with Him every day. I know that I am not alone when I say we want our campus to be saturated by the Spirit of God. I would like to know your views on the importance of prayer, and its effectiveness on our campus.
 
To me prayer is the most important aspect of one's life. God says he will give us the desires of our heart if we would just ask.
 
I think prayer is a big part of BPC. On Friday night after Vision quest, Mike, Candi, Jeff, Stevo, Becca, Josh, Joseph,Omie, and I all gathered because we felt like we needed to pray for the campus.
 
One of the greatest things about prayer is being able to pray with others. It is wonderful when we come together and pray to the Father. Praise the Lord for your heart edog and brutus.
 
God really used me tonight through prayer. I was at church and we were having a worship service tonight and this random guy in front of me was sitting in his chair praying. I looked down at him and something said to me "Lay your hand on him and pray for him!" This was something kind of new for me. At first I just prayed where I was standing for him but God kept saying the same thing over and over to me so I said, "Why not?" I didn't know if he would freak out b/c some random guy was putting his hand on his back, but it was quite the opposite. It's like he expected it. Then God just gave me this prayer that I get excited about just thinking about it. It really helped show me how important prayer really is. I love it when God does stuff like that.
 
That testimony is awesome big daddio. Prayer is so powerful. Laying hands on someone and praying for them is an awesome experience. There are some people who dont like laying hands. Laying hands is a great way to minister to others. When God gives us oppurtunities we should take them. God bless you guys.
 
Prayer is how one communicates with God. God desires a personal relationship. What is the most important part of any relationship? Communication. If one does not communicate with God, pray, then how does one expect to maintain and grow in their relationship with God?

Simply put:
God desires a personal relationship with you. So make it a point to pray, communicate, with Him everyday.
 
Another reason why prayer is so Vital to me, is that it is an awesome source of strength. If I couldn't pray and ask God to help me out some days, I may not be the person I am. I'm very emotional for a guy, (To my campus Buddies: Just not public about them) and so when things get rough, I eat my self with my emotions. When I turn to God, he goes beyond emotion to show me the Joy He can give me if I just give up what is draining me.

The Children song goes "The joy of the LORD is my Strength." I know that the quickest way to such a Joy is to release your burdens through prayer. I didn't always get this, but as more struggles come your way, this knowledge becomes priceless.
 
Prayer to me is very impt. It is like telling God about our lives and ask him to be centered person in my life.
