My uncle is still alive. 93!
Does that mean I might be alive for another 31 years? Man that's a long time actually. If only that 31 years was with a 31'year old body.....I need to join a gym maybe...otherwise this body is decaying, losing strength every day.
Did you know the majority of volunteers in Australia is aged over 70? Active people living selfless lives which is impressive. Surely many are doing God's work without realising it. Oh and Catholics can further their bonus points! Buying a stairway to Heaven. Faith and Works but mainly works. Ok I'm only joshing. As I know many Christians like to bash Catholics for thinking they can get to Heaven on their own merit. Without grace. But in reality, I think you will find the Catholic volunteers try to stay humble about the whole thing.

How much advantage do the rich have in a covid world?
I don't see much. Expensive holidays abroad in luxury accomodation is the essence of rich in my view. It's such a way of them showing off their wealth.
How was your vacation?
"Oh we visited an island in the Pacific, the ocean lapping at our feet, whilst being served champagne and caviar."
But who is having a holiday like that now?
The rich have come back to the pack in quality of life haven't they?
So covid is the great equaliser?
Death is the great equaliser. But some die too soon unfort.

Australia has good support for the poor. Well, most anyway. Better than America I am guessing.

Rich people stuck behind state borders like the rest of us. I'm not envious...except maybe they don't have to work.

Life is what we make of it. An active involved with with others is going to be more satisfying than a selfish life.

Whether we have private jets etc we can be happy in our situation if we keep our eyes on our Lord and not on what we don't have.

I was mentally sick yesterday. I even called an emergency hotline. I think the anti histamine medicine was partly the problem.
The future looked awfully bleak. The mind gets really scared. It loses the ability to cope. Small problems seem gigantic. You feel lost. Prayer feels like a delusional joke. Funny how prayer feels more suitable when the mind calms down.
You've got to make sure you eat well, not too much. If you make sure your physical health is good, the rest often falls into place.
Anyway, I need to prevent dark moods like that. Stay mentally active.

Everybody has different body health systems. Its possible to live longer than your uncle. If we live a healthy lifestyle then things will be better for us in the long run.
