He is an Australian author you may have to order it in in another country.
HI I read this new book about 3 months ago, It greatly confirmed my faith in Jesus and gave me a greater understanding of history surrounding Jesus life.
This book is written from the perspective of a historian looking to present credible referenced evidence from historical writings. It's about how we can trust the gospels the letters and the fact that Jesus lived.
It tears apart many opposing current arguments we have presently in the world to Christianity and how some came from questioning in the 1800s. It shows the errors in atheism's arguments and those annoying questioning scholars that lead people up the garden path with their hidden agendas and the Christians that debunked their arguments.
For me it showed me something that concerned me for a long time which is how accurate are writings 70 years on after an event. i.e. the Gospels. By today's standard a long time is a worry. But in ancient times oral tradition was the record keeping and was normal to record history many years after an event. The same method of recording a roman emperors existence is the same method used to record Jesus life. Nobody doubts the roman emperors lived do they?
It talks about the dead sea scrolls and gnostic gospels. pretty much goes present day backwards.
Records and explanations are presented without the author filling in the unknowns with his opinion.
I Now have some answers for peoples questions from today's doubting world Understanding the origins of this doubt is so helpful.
The best part was getting rid of the same questions I had that I learned from others
Its amazing what removing all doubt does for your faith. I haven't felt this good in years
Cheers,
Chris.
