Is Jesus God?

Jesus is God in flesh. In other words, God, the Father, decided to come to earth as a human being, so he did so in the person of Jesus Christ.
Just to clarify, God the Father sent His Son as a Man; it is the Son whom we know as Jesus Christ and not the Father.

John 14:7;
"If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him".

Correct. Jesus on earth frequently prayed to His Father in Heaven. God the Father did not decide to come to earth as a human being. And God the Father spoke to His Son several times. They are two distinct Persons.

What are you saying, we have 2 Gods?
Yes, that is exactly what you are saying and that is a heresy!

You are a Jewish Christian, a Messianic Jew.
So you believe that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, the chosen, anointed one. :)

You also believe as a Messianic Jew that Abraham is the father of many nations and a covenant was made with his one seed, the Messiah, Jesus. Making all those in Christ the children of Abraham. :) Including converted Muslims.
Young's Literal Translation
Gal 3:16 and to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed; He doth not say, `And to seeds,' as of many, but as of one, `And to thy seed,' which is Christ;

Gal 3:28 there is not here Jew or Greek, there is not here servant nor freeman, there is not here male and female, for all ye are one in Christ Jesus;
Gal 3:29 and if ye are of Christ then of Abraham ye are seed, and according to promise--heirs.

Hello Rollo,

Wonderful verse! Jesus was not saying that He was the Father; and the Scriptures never characterize God as sending Himself.

While Scripture recognizes one God, it differentiates between the Father and the Son. I have read on these forums a couple of times where someone has said 'God sent Himself.' Yes, the LORD Jesus Christ is God; but He is the Son of God the Father. The Father sent the Son.

The Father did not send Himself.

God the father,God the Son,and God the Holy Spirit.

Something like that i guess, if i am to believe the verse whatever it is...not even the Son knows the day of his own return, only the father.
Isn't that before Jesus was sitting on the throne at the right hand side of the Father?Surely he knows the day and time now.

I think I do not know you, (Edited, ToS 2,4, Rudeness. Obadiah) and you do not know me to say what are my beliefs.

Ok, I'm going to try to open this thread up again and see how things go. Discussion is fine, but if the personal attacks, antagonism, and general rudeness continues be prepared for official action. Please show care and respect for each other.
