we have a locally owned chain here its still a chain.i define a chain as two or more restaurants under the same name even if in the same county.
 
Godfather's Pizza made deep dish pizzas like that. You had to eat it with a fork it was so thick. I don't even know if they're around anymore.

You have to use a fork & knife for Papa Del's pizzas ... well, at least initially.

A knife & fork are needed initially because the pizza is HOT and it's thick. Using utensils initially saves from burned fingers & hands.

a simple lets wait till its a bit less hot to eat will do that.
 
I've never seen anyone be able to wait to dig in to Papa Del's pizza. Don't imagine I ever will :thumbsup It's just tooooooo great of pizza to wait!

you aren't a pizza connoisseur then. I do eat hot pizza here, thin crust and not silician/ half pie pizza. I have eaten silician pizza hot. burned my mouth.

though shall not doubt me on this manner. I just had pizza for breakfast, my grandson does the same. I told him cold and left out is the best in the morning. my wife hates that idea. she wonders where I learned that. I said from the army.

There is a Godfather's Pizza where I live and it is gross.It used to be good back in the 80's when they first started.

sometimes if I have a large pizza and what I do is like I did today, I had steak and fries with broccoli for dinner so I didn't eat it all so I take that for lunch. If I do that with pizza I eat one slice for breakfast and what is left for lunch. usually no more then two slices for lunch or breakfast.
