Psalm 37:10,11, 29 teaches us that the meek will inherit the earth. At Matthew 5:5 Jesus said the same thing.I know of two witnesses who are not meek.
Revelation 11
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them
I used to look at this verse and think, maybe this is what they called the rapture.People ascending into heaven in a cloud. The more I learned ,the more I questioned what was taking place in this verse.
It wasn't till after I understood what the abomination that causes jerusalems desolation is,did I realize what was happening to these two witnesses and it isn't a pretty picture.
I believe I would find myself blessed if I didn't ascend into heaven in a cloud.
Peter wasn't joking when he said the heavens would burn with a fervent heat on that day.
Maybe you didn't understand what I'm saying.I said I learned what the abomination that causes desolation is,and on the lord's day when it is placed in Jerusalem,I wouldn't want to ascend into heaven in that cloud.Psalm 37:10,11, 29 teaches us that the meek will inherit the earth. At Matthew 5:5 Jesus said the same thing.
Psalm 115:16 teaches us that God has given the earth to man.
Matthew 7:13, 14 teaches us that those that are meek, they're the only ones who find the narrow road leading to everlasting life. The majority of mankind don't have this meekness.
I disagree with those that believe that the heaven and the earth that will be destroyed is the planet earth or the universe. 2 Peter 3:3-7 teaches us that a heaven and earth was destroyed, in the days of Noah. Then Peter tells us that the heaven and the earth that are now, meaning the heaven and earth that existed in the apostles day and still are in existence today, will be destroyed. But this is the same universe that existed in Noah's day, and the same planet earth, that Noah lived on. So when Peter said, the heaven and earth that existed in his day and so are the same heaven and earth we're living in today, Peter wasn't talking about the universe or the planet earth. So in scripture, it's very important that people understand what the scriptures mean by heaven and earth.
So as I said I don't agree with a lot of people who believe this planet earth will be destroyed by fire, simply because they see the word, "world" in a scripture and so they believe the planet is to be destroyed. The word "world" used in these scriptures doesn't have the meaning planet earth that is to be destroyed, but is the world of wicked mankind that's living on the planet that is to be destroyed.
Personally,I think I would rather just keep my feet on the earth.Maybe alot of glass to walk on but thats what happens to the elements under extreme heat. So, the meek will inherit the Moon?
