Jesus Says Belief In Him Is Equal To Believing In God

We embody what we believe about God through our works, such as with James 2:18 where he said that he would show his faith through his works, so everyone who is a doer of the same works as James believes in God and Jesus. In other words, the way to believe in God is by embodying His likeness through being a doer of His character traits. For example, by being a doer of good works in obedience to God's law we are embodying God's goodness, which is why our good works bring glory to Him (Matthew 5:16), and by embodying God's goodness we are also expressing the belief that God is good. Likewise, the way to believe that God is a good of justice is by being a doer of justice in obedience to Him, the way to believe that God is holy is by being a doer of His instructions for how to be holy as He is holy, we are to be compassionate because believe that God is compassionate, and so forth. This is exactly the same as the way to believe in the Son, who is the radiance of God's glory and the exact likeness of His character (Hebrews 1:3, which he embodied through his works by setting a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience to God's law.

Then as Jesus says believing in Him is in every way equal to believing in God.
John 14:1
.... ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Therefore Jesus is God.

Which makes sense, as Jesus is God in human flesh

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.
1 Timothy 3:16

Jesus Says Belief In Him Is Equal To Believing In God

Since Jesus is God, the statement is repetitive like believing in water is like believing in H2O.

Jesus Says Belief In Him Is Equal To Believing In God

Since Jesus is God, the statement is repetitive like believing in water is like believing in H2O.
Giving two exact forms shows you don't get the intent of Jesus's words.
His intent was naming two different forms that yet are the same.
It is comparable to saying " you believe in Water ,believe also in Ice "
The two different forms are not repetitive .

He stated: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me."

He stated: Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.

To me the Father living in the Son is from the beginning and forever. They are one. All the fullness of the Deity that lives in Him. Fullness=Spirit of God without limit; All that the Father is; in the form of God but also a child of God; The only begotten God or the only like to like begotten Son of the Father.

He stated: Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works

I can read in the text who it belongs to and is to give and who is the one receiving. The Son inherited all things from His God and Father who is greater than Him just as He stated.

Ask me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
