Bible Study John 10:16

He was speaking to the Jewish leaders i believe i woud conclude the others woudl be gentiles. am sure some of the others around here will have a long explanation :)

Gal_3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Col_3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

What is the 'other sheep' Christ is talking about?, and who is the 1 fold?
John 10:16
Joh 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Brother kiwidan, to me this points to many in Judaism to yet come as the result of Jesus' words to them.

Romans Chapter Eleven’s context is the future of Israel.

Rom 11:25 . . . blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. This blindness continues until Jesus takes His place on His own throne, and puts down all usurping nations as the result of tribulation to come.

Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

The other sheep Jesus brings with him are those of faith in God under the Old Covenant that came to Him by faith through the covenant God made with Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3. They the Jew is now united with the Gentile under the New Covenant of Gods grace that all Jew and Gentile of faith will become one in Christ.

Isaiah 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Isaiah 56:8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Good evening truth seekers. This is a very intriguing topic which requires intense study, meditation, and Holy Spirit to understand. In order to gain a full understanding of "the other sheep" one must understand the "first flock" or as regarded in Luke 12:32, the "little flock". In this scripture Jesus says his Father has approved of giving the little flock the Kingdom. What does this mean. It's explained in Rev. 5:10 where Jesus reveals to John that his father appointed these ones to rule as kings and priest with Jesus over the earth. God's word even tells us how many of these kings and priest there will be. Rev. 14:1 reveals the number to be 144,000 who will rule with Jesus. Now you see relatively speaking 144,000 is small or "little flock" compared to millions who will inherit God's Kingdom.
This brings us to John 10:16 where Jesus says he has "other sheep not of this fold" that he must also bring in for they listen to his voice. If they listen to his voice then he is their master and shepherd. Therefore the "Great Crowd" described in Rev. 7:9 would be the "other sheep" who obey Jesus' voice. This number no one is able to number Rev. 7:9, yet we know from the scripture that peoples from all tribes, nations, and tongues will be among these. In other words, the other sheep will be comprised of peoples from all nations on this earth. Regardless of race, nationality, or creed, if they listen to his voice they qualify.
I do hope I answered your question fully and with God's Word rather than my own interpretation.
Here's a question for you: would you like to know what the Bible says about where the "Great Crowd" will reside?
Till next.....

John 10:16

The Samaritans.
Jesus came FOR everyone but only came TO the Jews.

The Samaritans were considered the Goyim. (gentiles). But we're actually mixed race Jews. And at war with the Jews.

Good evening John, I'm not sure I follow you. The scriptures I cited did not come from me. I believe the Bible proves itself true. Yet I find many people believe many things. I simply want to answer questions scriptually for those seeking answers.

The Samaritans.
Jesus came FOR everyone but only came TO the Jews.

The Samaritans were considered the Goyim. (gentiles). But we're actually mixed race Jews. And at war with the Jews.

Jhn 10:1 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, G833 but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Jhn 10:16 - And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: G833 them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Rev 11:2 - But the court G833 which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Strong's G833 can be used as 'sheepfold', 'fold' or 'court'. It seems to me that Christ's other sheep are the Gentiles who would eventually follow Him as opposed to the Jews to whom He was sent, and to whom He was speaking.

Psalm 100:3
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Ezekiel 34:31
And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.

The study of the deployments of this term in the scriptures, sheep, are deep, and also very allegorical, obviously.

Isaiah 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
