YES! One special event, one special purpose. Who is John's mother's womb to you?is it in the bible that John the Baptist was a Christian ?
I'm trying not to suppose anything other than John was filled with the Holy Ghost which the world cannot receive. (Joh 14:17). My other question involved John's mother that he was separated from. I will suggest Gal 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me (Paul) from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace. Have you ever considered that the mother being written of is Israel and Judaism of the old covenant? John and Paul were both delivered from the old and born unto God by grace to be born of above.supposedly that would make him sinless and definitely not less than the least in the kingdom - btw have you noticed that what was possible for John was not possible for Jesus who was also "man born of woman" but definitely greater than John" but not according to Protestants it seems who are specially inspired by the HS - wincam
so was he or was he not highly favoured and sinless and definitely not required to be born again - or was he born again - wincamI'm trying not to suppose anything other than John was filled with the Holy Ghost which the world cannot receive. Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
If John the Baptist received the Holy Spirit, do you read anywhere in scripture that we can do so without being in Christ which designates us as born of God? As to John's natural assets we read inso was he or was he not highly favoured and sinless and definitely not required to be born again - or was he born again - wincam
John the Baptist was the first Old Covenant Prophet to come on the scene after 400 years of silence from Yahweh. He was a Jewish Prophet. Was he saved? Most say yes. Was he a Christian? Christianity wasn't really established until Pentecost.
simple and I can even get hold of a certificate to prove it - twinctwinc, let me ask you a question. What has qualified you to be called a Christian since you answered yes under your name?
All the people of Israel were taught from Gods Word in the O.T. to be God's children. Deut. 14:1, Psalm 82:6 for examples.so was he or was he not highly favoured and sinless and definitely not required to be born again - or was he born again - wincam

but he was full of the HS and sinless from his mother's womb - btw it seems the true significance or purpose for Pentecost has not really been grasped e.g.did it really change non Christians into Christians and/or forgive sins or make them sinless - etc
sad do for the greatest man ever born - was it through fear for his life which he lost anyway - twinc
No Jew has ever been called a Christian, not even the 12 disciples/Apostles or even Paul.
A piece of paper doesn't mean much twinc.simple and I can even get hold of a certificate to prove it - twinc
