[__ Prayer __] Keeping our Apartment

Ok, well, not so good news.
The apartment complex has been renovating for quite awhile. So, they are wanting to push us out of our apartment and into a renovated one. Thing is, if we stay in our apartment, our rent is going to increase $150 dollars....
All these years they've only increased our rent $50 because the landlord understood that we're on disability. But this increase is not because of our landlord, it is because of the people that own the complex.
So...it looks like we are going to move.
My mind is going in all these different directions.
On Wednesday my parents and Matt's parents are getting together to discuss all this.
There are many things that must come into consideration with my illness. The environment is a BIG deal for my schizophrenia.
I need the Lords direction, His hand on this, and his peace.
Please pray that our future home would be of God's direction and a sense of peace to know from Him what the right place will be.
Thanks so much.
I'm scared :sad
Heavenly Father, we lift our precious sister, your precious daughter up to you.
We do thank you for bringing her into our lives. Thank you that she has been honest in her request for prayer and her thoughts.

We all get scared at times, when things change, when we can't see a solution. BUT I do thank you that actually you know we do, it's not a surprise to you, it doesn't upset you and you love us all the same.

I pray for Angel the words that Jesus told us, in fact I pray it for all of us.

Matthew 11:28
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 6:25-27
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

We thank you that you know we will worry and that we will get scared, but we thank you for the promises that you will meet our every need.

Increase our faith to beleive your promises for us, your children.

I ask this in Jesus name.

Ok, SO

There are 3 floor plans for my complex. Basically put, small, medium, and large
Right now we are in a small.

We researched apartments and found that virtually every apartment complex are the same price. So why move somewhere else right?
So, we are changing apartments! We are going to stay in the same complex. There are too many good things here that aren't in other complexes such as a built in washer/dryer and if something breaks, they come and fix it for free.

Get this, the new apartment is medium. We are in the small. Rent in the medium is less than the small one we're in. So, we are upgrading to a bigger yet cheaper apartment!

The new one not only is bigger, but quieter. There are no soccer/tennis/basketball/pool areas close to the new apartment.

I have peace, and I am so glad. God indeed had something better for us.

I want to thank you guys for caring about this. I am greatfull to God that things worked out for the best.

So, no more stress. God is in control. Thank you, Father!!

this is most excellent news!

You get more space (yesssss) and you get a --quieter-- space (yessss) and you save some $$$$ (yessss!!!).

I'm happy for you. Do you have people to help you move?

LOL you're funny.
My parents and Matt's parents are helping. Just the four of us. I don't know if my Sister and her Fiance might help?
We'll see.
Right now we are going to work on making this apartment super duper clean.

Our A/C isn't working.
Fortunately, someone is coming to fix it today.
Another glad reason we are still at this complex. They fix everything quickly and effectively. And they don't make us pay for it. Someone told me today that she is battling with her landlord to fix things in their apartment and the landlord doesn't care. So she's withholding her rent. Not very smart, but, hey its her decision.

I'm glad people in your complex take care of important things promptly. That can be a big issue, especially when you're dealing with wayward landlords and/or stingy property management companies.

no, lawful.

Hello!

Every year our Landlord increases our rent, and some years we get a cost of living raise. We didn't get one last year and they increased our rent $50.

Please pray that our rent won't be raised too high, and please pray that we get the cost of living raise this next year. We should know in October.

Thanks :)
I prayed for your finances.

Something that always helps me to keep perspective and hope is the fact that if we have committed the most valued of our possessions--our everlasting souls--into the hand of God, with all faith, believing He will care for them and prosper them, then much more should we trust him with our needs in this world: finances, bodily care, etc.

Do we trust the Lord Jesus with our souls? Yes? Then we can trust Him to care for all our needs--and even wants. Since He does the greater, then he shall do the lesser.

Faith
Our faith is "saving-faith." As such, it must be something that does not originate with "self." In other words, it is not of the natural; for if it was, then our salvation would be of that which is natural and we would be our own saviors. Therefore, it must be of the supernatural, namely, from God Almighty Himself (Heb. 12:2; Rom.12:3; 1Co. 12:9; 2Pet. 1:1). As such, it must be something that is given to us by God; it must be something that we can ask God for on a daily basis (Luk 22:32).

Everyday, as I start out my day, I ask the Lord to give me the faith I need to abide in His will for that day and to accomplish what he wants me to accomplish that day. I take comfort in this, knowing that I don't have to struggle with trying to generate the saving-faith I need to overcome on any given day or any problem, or to receive whatever promise of God I am expecting. This has been a practice that Has greatly helped me through many tough times and discouraging thoughts. Hope this helps.

Prayer for You

I frequently, in times of trouble and sorrow, ask the the Lord to pray and intercede for me. This has helped me tremendously through many a tough times.

While on the earth, Jesus prayed not only for his disciples but also for you and me (John 17: 6-26 [note vs 20]; Luke 22: 31-32; Rom 8:26). I believe that just because Jesus ascended does not mean he has stopped praying and interceding for us.

We are encouraged when we know a fellow Christian is interceding on our behalf for our infirmities and tribulations, but should we not much more rejoice and be comforted knowing that Christ Jesus himself currently makes intercession for us?

Rom 8:34 "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."

Rom 8:27 "And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

Heb 7:25 "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."

Isa 53:12 "Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

Yeah, we are ok for at least another year. Mom told me not to worry about it because she will take care of us. :). Thanks for asking :)
You can always apply for elderly/disability public/private housing. Rents are determined by your income at 33% average. If your income is $1000 per month, they charge you 33% or approx. $350 per month. Utilities are included in the rent which is wonderful. If you have ongoing medical expenses, they use them to deduct from your rent total. Each year they reassess your rent based upon your income, so if your medical expenses increased or your income went down, your rent also goes down. The downside of these programs is, unfortunately, they have long waiting lists. Applying to private housing (but under the same public housing rules) you get in much faster than with strictly public housing places. Call your local social services to find out the rules and how to apply if you are interested.

I will be praying for you and your situation. It's always a scary situation for people who have always paid their way to wonder if they might not be able to keep doing so! You are not alone, and the Lord is always there for all of us.

There are housing programs here. My mother was worried about it not being safe, which is one reason why we are staying in this complex. But if we eventually have to do that, we will.

section 8. those can be full of problems with lowly persons. if you know what I mean.

hey, angel.

I'm glad your people can help you and are willing to do so. Its rough, or can be. The only way I could live in an OK apartment or whatever would be if my people paid rent, etc. and I lived off the disability monies. That's one reason I haven't moved out; if I did, my people would be throwing away $$$ in rent per year, and I'd be chillin' out in an apartment, alone, surrounded by people I don't know, in a ridiculously hostile community. --sigh--

I'm glad you and matt have each other. That's huge. I don't know what kinda disability you have, but some forms of disability do a ticket to work program. They let you keep $$$ from work and such and stay on disability (no reviews while you're on the program) while you work out a plan to transition off of disability.

I thought about doing it, but I'm not sure I can get a job around here, period. I'm stigmatized and I made a lot of enemies by filing a medical board complaint against an ex-psychiatrist, so I may be better off with my people, on disability.

For you and/or Matt, though, it might be an option. Or maybe not, lol. I don't know your situation. Just a thought.

You're in my prayers. :)
