Modern wisdom encourages communication. It's the foundation to any, any all stable relationships. But the bible says otherwise in Proverbs 29:11 and Proverbs 10:14. The fool gives full vent to their rage, but the wise hold their tongue.

Wish I had that thought before I spoke.

What bible lessons have you found to be right only after following different modern advise.
 
I was taught years ago that God tempts us in order to see how much faith and trust we have in Him. This always scared me a little as I thought maybe I could never pass such a test.

James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
