Marriage-Husband

Hello,

I am new here and I was reading through some of the marriage threads and many of us all go through some martial issues in life. But, by having patients, enduring, and having faith can help these issues. I have some scriptures that I think will help both men and women in the marriage aspect. Once 2 people come together, they are 1 flesh. Take for instance:
Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Here is what I have found with help from a brother of mine:

1Co 7:27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
Pro 5:18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Ecc 9:9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
1Co 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
1Co 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such
thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
1Pe 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Eph 5:33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Pro 5:18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Pro 5:19 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
2Ti 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2Ti 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

I hope this helps both men and women. I will post another thread about marriage and women later this day.

May The Most High bless all of you!

Don't ever let it happen a third time. Sorry to hear you've had to endure this, especially twice.

I have never been through so much heartache from divorce's, and, they not even mine. Its not only the parents who get effected. I was down and out when my parents split.

I just wish everyone the best and im sorry people have to go through all types of issues. Its sad.
My parents were crushed by my first divorce and they were not around for my second. It would have been nice if they were because I sure could have used the support.

More than just the parties concerned are often affected.

By the Grace of The Lord we are still going after 39 yrs.Been pretty close to splitting about 12 yrs back.It was mostly my fault with the old"Me First" thing always at the top of the list.Well I just stopped everything including drinking which caused problems in our relationship.I heard it once said that alcoholism is the only desease that tells you you don have a desease, which was a "wake-up" . I dont think I am an alchoholic ,I easilly stopped ,and came to the conviction that there a cirtain things cirtainfolks should not do,although others can do them, and that the Lord has plans for each one of us indervidually .So I simply listened to the Spirit, and have never looked back.
My Wife and I can really enjoy the blessings that God has given us, watching our grandsons grow and the things that our 4 children have achieved that make us proud.
Finding someone else, usually doesn't fix the real you,and the usual cracks normally come out after a time unless you are honest with yourself and put pride aside and fix them properly with the help of God through Jesus Christ. It works both was obviously as far as marriage partners are concerned."Pride is the never failing vice of all fools"
is a quote by Napoleon Pope helped me face the truth regarding "Me".

Well, this is wonderful that the Lord has preserved you guys together.

I know someone who was a magistrate who said that most of the problems he encountered in court were because of alcohol. Obviously this is not relevant to you, but alcohol can be so disruptive domestically also.

Blessings.

The ex husband was like that...at first...but then he escalated. However, the first time he hit me was his last...I punched him right back and kicked him out. If a man has no problem abusing a woman non-physically, he will eventually escalate to physical abuse.
