For people with a condition that some scientists call misophonia, mealtime can be torture. The sounds of other people eating — chewing, chomping, slurping, gurgling — can send them into an instantaneous, blood-boiling rage. NY Times

Does anyone ever ruin your meal by smacking their lips when they eat? Does anyone want to shove railroad pegs into their ears when someone chews like a dog? Does anyone experience Misophonia?

My brother makes this clicking noise with his tongue, especially in his sleep. It irritates me and I end up telling him to "shut up!" or "stop CLICKING!"

But I get the feeling that this thing is something that applies only when people react in the extreme to things like that.
