Alright, thanks for the edumacation.....Dog's bumping me with his nose.......... Later.
This one was popular on the radio as we flew through the jungle topping the trees. My favorite after six in the morning was by Country Joe and the Fish... Be The First On Your Block To Come Home In A Wooden Box. We never did figure why the Generals hated it so much. This one got me into drums. Wait for the drum solo at about 6:20. It's a killer...... (Well, for the old days, anyway).
I like some 60's music but being a child of the 70's I have made the interesting observation that even by the mid to late 70's the 60's music was already pretty much dead (not listened to very much). 50's music was downright deceased! But it's interesting to see how so much 70's music is alive and well in this very day. This is a start. I'll post more.... and if you help out.... NOTHING FROM THE 70's or newer. We're talkin' REAL music, here.
Do you still listen to 70's music?I like some 60's music but being a child of the 70's I have made the interesting observation that even by the mid to late 70's the 60's music was already pretty much dead (not listened to very much). 50's music was downright deceased! When I listen to secular music, yes.Do you still listen to 70's music?
My best friend learned to play lead after Jimmie passed away and I never managed to have him understand that the instruments were not the star in vocals. This is a number I loved but that I had no business ever doing. Now, THIS is from back when voices really WERE the song.
Do you mean the Beatles?the British evasion killed rock and roll
Don't forget Elvis.all of 'em
I like the clear sounds of 50s rock... Buddy Holly ... Elvis... Little Richard ... Jimmy Clanton ... Did i mention Elvis.... Connie Francis .... Brenda Lee.... Jackie Willson... Elvis

That's how I know who he is....You do know Elvis is alive. I saw him bagging groceries at the market in town the other day.
