What do you listen to a lot? What are you listening to right now? Music preferences in general...etc. Discuss!

To start off:
I listen to mostly a potpourri of classical-ish music, baroque through romantic and 20thC stuff, and a nice assortment of video game music and music from various popular media(Star Wars, Cowboy Bebop, etc.)

Unlike many of the Christians on the Christian forums I do not like Contemporary Christian music for the most part.

When it comes to musical genera’s I like the following:
Progressive House
Trance
Techno
Rock
Hard Rock
Heavy Metal
Rap (Old school and only a few artist)
Country (The only Country I like is by Johnny Cash and Mindy Smith)
Classical (Mostly from movie scores)
Pop (Mostly 80’s Pop)

There may be more genera’s I like but those are the only ones I can think of.

I would like to point out that even though I really only listen to secular music I am mindful of what I listen to.

I would like to end my post by saying the following:
BT Rocks! (If you want to know who BT is then private message me)

Grits, 4Him, Third Day, Kutless, mainly Christian groups. W4H and PreachersGirl know my deep dark secret. You two are free to spill the beans.

I listen to Christian Contemporary in the car. At home my CD collection consists of ALOT of Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Trance, Industrial, some 80's music. I like a little of everything except hardcore rap and country.

I listen only to Christian music, mainly trance and various types of electronica and rock/hard rock.

Hey brutus how bout nsync. Thats a inside joke between us by the way. Great singin brutus.

It is nice to talk to you but you know...

It is “Easier to Run." :-D

For the uninformed “Easier to Run†is a Linkin Park song…the easier to run thing I said is a joke between Mac and I. Every so often when Mac and I are talking he will, or I will, make a reference to a Linkin Park song. I like him think Linkin Park rocks…just not as much as BT.

I see you are familiar with BT and the song "Never Gonna Come Back Down." That song comes off perhaps his best album, in my opinion of course. Tell me SyntaxVorlon...what are you thoughts...you think Bt's third album Movement In Still Life (1999) is BT's best?

Ginny owens is great. If you want me to is a great song. I love her music

i love GRITZ and Relient K! those to group have got to be some of the best ever! i pretty much like anything (except for polka, techno, not really into country, and southern gospel)

Sad to see you do not like Techno...maybe if you hear some good Techno you might start to like it. Of course many people, I haven noticed, categorize all Electronic music Techno when in fact Electronic music encompasses many other sub genera's...such as Progressive House and Trance. Oh yeah not to mention that there are a lot of bad “Techno†artists out there…you have to search around to find good ones.

ok well i'll have to do i little more research for techno before i judge it
:fadein:
