I've used it as a sermon illustration because it's so Typical of normal human depravity.
A fellow is running LATE to a VERY important meeting that he HAS to make for his career's sake. But there's no parking spaced available at the venue. So in DESPERATION he dries out to God -
Please God!!! I need a parking space - I'll stop lying about my business partners, and quit my affair with my wife's best friend - and I'll stop drinking and doing coke, and start going to church - PLEASE get me a parking space so I can save my business!!!!
And right then - immediately in front of the building's entrance, a Hummer pulls out of a spot big enough for a semi to fit into, and the fellow says:
OH!!!! never mind, God - I've found one!
