To pray according to the will of God is to pray from the Word of God, so this is my prayer for you:
" .....asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light." Collosians 9 - 12 ESV

Oh Ned I agree~ :thumb

... And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Even so for each member of the body of Christ I plead this blessing today! Even so, amen.

And for the pastors and leaders of the Lord's flock~

That each man would shepherd the flock of God, serving as overseers, willingly and eagerly; being examples to the flock entrusted to them; that when the Chief Shepherd appears, each one will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. :thumb

In Jesus name... :amen

That we would all be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt us in due time, casting all our care upon Him, for He cares for us.

That we may resist our adversary steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by our brotherhood in the world. May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after we have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle us.

For to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. :D

Thanks sheshisown, I think we forget to pray for fellow believers and leaders in our local churches. I appreciate your prayer for me aswell. We are busy with prayer and how to pray at our local cell group. Last night I just came to undestand how we limit God in our thinking. We tend to only pray for the big stuff or think that God is only interested in the Big stuff yet. When we think like this we make him a God less than he is. He is omnipresent and involved totally in our lives, He is a great God, the only God, the almighty God and nothing is to small or to big for Him. May God bless you.

We ask this so that you will live the kind of lives that prove you belong to the Lord. Then you will want to please him in every way as you grow in producing every kind of good work by this knowledge about God.
Colossians 1:10

" I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." - Romans 12 vs 1 - 2 NKJV

I read your prayer and thought, "This for me, this for me!"
Thank you.

1 John 5:14 - 15
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
In the next verse of John's letter we are instructed to ask God when we see our brothers sinning and God will give life (because of our prayer). Seems to me that since Jesus entire mission was to reconcile us to our Father it is very good to pray for each other this way. We are not told to pray for "sin that leads to death" in this manner, but what about when a Christian doesn't say something as well as he/she should?

An analogy of how blood works in the human body is brought to my mind when I think about this. Not only does the blood bring nutrients and oxygen to each cell of the body, it also removes waste and poisons and is the first response to injury.
