Hi, this is my first post. I just joined.

I should tell you a little about myself first. I was raised as an atheist and still am one. Please understand, I didn't come here to offend anyone or alienate anyone. I merely am interested in other people's different points of view. I've read through some of your threads and it seemed to me that you allow diverse opinions. I appreciate that.

I hope you will indulge me. And if you don't mind a little friendly debate I'd love to post. I hope I don't offend anyone (although I'm sure some of you might find my ideas a bit distasteful). And I'm not trying to "convert" anyone to atheism. My main interest is how religion is encroaching on our freedoms.

Yes, I do understand that. As I stated in my original post I have no intention of "converting" anyone to atheism. I am interested in having friendly debates about politics and religion, though.

First hello and welcome. Second I found this interesting

So you think religion enroaches on freedom. Well, I don't want to start a debate in the "new member" forum, but I would like to just say that America in fact was founded on Christian Principals.

Anyway, welcome and perhaps later we will discuss your interesting thought on religon and freedom in another forum.
