basil finished today and Friday's route. he has mobil,4th st tomorrow and I have whispering palms tomorrow. mike has a new one as well.

What a great chance to have a look-see at some of the old tombstones!
I have been there before , my wife visited that one before the fence as put in and it was cleaned up. one of two that have civil war vets. the other isn't on the city grid nor even has any power to it. both aren't maintained by any government entity. the city I work for does have a sexton and plots to sell. I read that today, all two meters for the shop. I get that from the west end. no need to enter via normal way.

I could be cheeky and point out that the 'normal way' for one to enter a cemetery is to die...........

but, nah, I don't want to be cheeky this evening

:sohappy

lol. I meant from the public access for visiting not the south west gate.

I knew what you meant, even without knowing what the other gate would be called.

I look forward to seeing photos.

there are about 30 marked graves and about 80 graves total. if I have the chance I will. oslo was once bigger then vero, so this is part of the olso ghostown.

the area where it says about the flag stop is where I thought the train would stop for people. oslo oddly never had a train station like vero did.

It's amazing how many small communities didn't have train stations.

Oslo ghost town? Sounds intriguing!
not much to see, I have posted some of the homes already. ie the helesth and hallstrom homes. those are of that time frame. the cemetery, I haven't yet and the link has the sexton groves. waldo sexton well what part of vero/indian river county south of Gifford didn't he have some influence? here his garden. end of another route and well I was asked not to take pics of that area without the permission of the owner. but they have a fb page.

It's beautiful. The homes.one is made up of driftwood the other is an old cracker home with some driftwood

Google McKee jungle gardens. I need to post Waldo sexton work there as well.Fridays route as well. Ah an excuse to eat at the patio and take pics.same style.the driftwood and Waldo's are too pricey for me.but also of the same style

not to bad of a route. there was a power outage and some stayed late to finish the routes.

Sorry to learn of the power outage .... never fun for anyone.

Glad your route wasn't too bad ... that helps!
