No One Can Save Himself

Since God has fixed the creature so that he cannot save himself and needs another to save him, it is obvious that the Christ-Life in that creature could never be withheld because of the creatures failure or sin.
So also Christ finds His greatest triumph and glory in the sphere of human helplessness.
This is the great difference between the Christ Life and religion. Religion means in its simplest definition, "man doing something to please God."
On the other hand, the issue of Satan being the sinner in the creature must be confronted.
Satan, as the sinner, must be disposed of forever.
1st John 3:8 tells us that it was Satan who was the sinner from the beginning.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

When Adam and Eve believed what Satan said in the Garden of Eden, there was birthed in them the Satan nature.
At the time, they, being without any nature at all, awaiting the moment that their minds came to believe what truth they were to be identified with, were subtly and deceitfully taken over by Satan's nature.
Christ, the Lamb of God, came into the world and took away the sin of the world by His vicarious work at Calvary, John 1:29
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

The sin nature; dead as Jesus was on calvary, killed out by the cross. When he laid a dead head on a dead shoulder, you died, all in Adam. Paul would say in 1 Cor. 2:2,
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

It's the oldest law in God, "life comes out of death," John 12:24
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Dividing the natures is imparative for the believer. Without such nothing else will properly divide.
Born in sin, the nature caused all the trouble for the creature. Being created in the image and likeness of God, there has never at any moment in time been anything wrong with your creation, other than Adam choosing the wrong father.
You get a nature from a father, humanity needed a new father.

There are many definitions of religion but none preclude Christianity from being a religion. A simple definition of religion is, "a system of beliefs and practices," usually in regard to the divine or supernatural.

To say my religion is better than your religion is what Paul referred to as circumcision.
Christianity can be made into a religion like any other.
Uncircumcision or "a new creation" was Pauls answer to humanity.
A new state of being the has never existed before. Christ in the believer, the believer in Christ.
Total and complete Union, all brought about by a birthing.

God purpously created the serpant/rule of law to discipline man as he gave man free choice for Gods glory. How else was man going to learn, God always wanted fellowship from free choice, creating zombies with no will just to worship him his pathetic.

In the end death and hades is destroyed, well it always was from the cross and the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.

Sounds like this would be a good Bible Study topic :)
It's also a good topic for a Jethro Tull song - in fact, Ian wrote one in 1970 that questioned if Jesus could save Himself (from those who use his name in 'death'):

Oh father high in heaven,
smile down upon your son
whose busy with his money games,
his women and his gun
Oh Jesus save me!
And the unsung Western hero killed an Indian or three
and made his name in Hollywood
to set the white man free

Oh Jesus save me!
If Jesus saves, well, He'd better save Himself
from the gory glory seekers who use His name in death

Oh Jesus save me!
If Jesus saves, well, He'd better save Himself
from the gory glory seekers who use His name in death
Oh Jesus save me!
I saw him in the city and on the mountains of the moon
His cross was rather bloody
He could hardly roll His stone
Oh Jesus save me!

Many think that Ian is mocking Jesus, but I have always disagreed. I always took this to mean the fake preachers, preaching death upon themselves by taking the Lord's name in the WORST 'vain' ever. And it's not only preachers, but entire churches that Ian was speaking about - he always questioned organized religion and saw what, sometimes, organized "man's" religion did to God's name and reputation.

And, after listening to Ian speak a few years back on his "friendship" with Christianity, I realized that I was right all along. He stated that he was not a Christian, but considered himself a friend to Christianity.

I've prayed for the man a lot more since hearing that interview. He's on the ledge, looking in.

Clarification: For someone to say say "try my religion it's better than your religion" ...making a statement!!
Paul would say " no religion matters " only a new creation matters.

Scripture say that pure religion is helping the poor, orphan and widow.
Of course these are types denoting those who are not only in need, but those vulnerable to exploitation.

Even an athiest can partake in pure religion...

That does not clear up your odd remark about circumcision.
