Ps 71: 17 O God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds.
Everyone learns. That is the way God make us. But does everyone learn from God?
Prov 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
If from His mouth come knowledge and understanding, then we have to listen to Him, right?
Prov 5: 7 Nor then, my sons, listen to me and do not depart from the words of my mouth
Prov 5: 12,13 And you say, "How I have hated instruction! And my heart spurned reproof! "I have not listened to the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined my ear to my instructors!
We have a King and thus He has a kingdom, not of this world. Do we listen? If the King stands and the door knocking with His voice, and if the King has had His kingdom also trying to tell you to listen to the King and you don't listen but ignore, are you not rebellious?
Is 30:9 For this is a rebellious people, false sons, Sons who refuse to listen to the instruction of the Lord:
So, do we hear from the Lord? Are we listening? And if we are not hearing His voice giving us instructions and teaching us, can't we change that by seeking Him and calling on Him?
Is 30: 19-21 ... He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears is, He will answer you. Although the Lord has given you bread of privation, He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you. "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right of to the left.
Really? Every time you turn to the right of to the left you will hear your Teacher? Really? He is standing there at the door knocking (Rev 3:20) with His voice and if anyone hears His voice and open He will come in, but can that really mean every time we turn to the left of right. It must mean when I really get my life messed up but not every time?
My friends, when I open up my spiritual ears to the Lord, seek and listen for His voice, I hear His voice. If I keep my ears on Him and follow the instructions He will guide my steps. He will tell me where to go, and even how to get there. He like taking me out to yard sales, simply because He can tell me when to turn and where. He teaches me, and going to yard sales gives Him time and opportunity. He gives me wisdom for what to look for and about what price to offer and what to get, and a lot more. I sometime pick up something I can sell on the internet, but it helps to know Him.
Yesterday He took me out to yard sales. There were very few out there. I walked up to on house look around. They had a couple of home schooling books but they didn't look that good so I turned away. He told me to turn back and check out those books closer. I did. I pulled out my phone and to my surprise found out they could each be sold for $20 even in acceptable condition. So I pick up a possible $80, but I wouldn't have if not for listening to His voice. He was telling me to turn here and go there, or I might not even be doing yard sales or at that sale. And this type of thing happen several more times. Yet the most important thing was not the money. It just so happened that I pull up to a red light to see two men go after another man. They were hitting and attacking him furiously. From across the street I call upon the Lord to loose His angels into the situation and instantly the men stopped hitting the other man and turned and started running to make their get away.
Ok, the scoffer will say loosing the angels of heaven didn't cause the men to turn and flee, but it also said your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher". You will see the King and His kingdom in action! I was about to call '911', but the Lord stopped me. He told me that others were doing that, and indeed seven to eight other cars had stopped at the incident. He told me that He need me to call the angels, the others did not know how to place that call.
He teaches you. He instructions you. He guides your steps. But are you going to get any of that if you don't believe the Bible and seek the Lord's voice as instructed?
