It's a Star Wars reference. Altering existing facts to propagate continuation.Retconning? Translation please.
don't tell me they change the fact that the emporer isn't dead and also other things.Yeah.
There was a very large series of books that take place after the original trilogy. So many I don't think I could hope to read them all. Not all of them are great, but the ones I have read I loved overall. They're by different authors, but they form a coherent timeline. I own some of these books, and used to check them out of the library all the time.
The Expanded Universe is another to do with Star Wars other than the movies. The EU includes the books I mentioned, plus comics and a lot of other things. (I don't think The Clone Wars is considered EU, but I could be wrong.)
Have to say I was pretty attached to the EU. Up until Disney owned Star Wars, most of it was canon.
you sound like me with trek, I don't like the newer star trek, most of us that are old enough to remember the old franchise don't.Don't know.
Man, don't mean to be a downer here. xD For all I know, I may end up liking the movie more than the EU. Still, I can't just forget about something I used to greatly enjoy.
Huh, I have read most of the novels (gave up shortly into the whole yuzhan vong story line) and don't remember this term. It's a Star Wars reference. Altering existing facts to propagate continuation.
Take the "ning" off the end of the word and it may look familiar. retcon. (shortened form of RETroactive CONtinuity)Huh, I have read most of the novels (gave up shortly into the whole yuzhan vong story line) and don't remember this term.
I liked voyager, I would say enterprise in that had potential with that.Worst was Voyager.
I think you just made that up. :tongueTake the "ning" off the end of the word and it may look familiar. retcon. (shortened form of RETroactive CONtinuity)
Can be applied to any ongoing series of films or TV serials.

they were better in sound effects but not in the plot or story line. the first enterprise ncc-1701 didn't have a warp drive and that was under Robert april, then it went to pike when it had warp drive, they messed that all up. pike was a family friend to kirk and his dad. the enterprise is the reason kirk joined Starfleet.I think the new Star Trek movies are their best so far.
But I said the same thing about the other ones too.![]()
