An open letter to our members and staff.

As the sole owner of CF.net, I've got a lot of weight on my shoulders guiding this site to stay in line with the vision outlined in our community message and living up to the staff expectations. If you haven't read either in some time, I would encourage you to refresh your memory and read them.
As the owner, I've made decisions that have left negative impacts upon certain members and I've also made poor choices, even when my heart was in the right place. Often, we can share the heart of our Lord, but as imperfect people, sin takes an opportunity to beguile us, and we can actually live out the heart of our Lord in a way that doesn't represent the actions our Lord would want us to live out.
I am reminded of so many great leaders in the Bible, and every great leader made mistakes that impacted the community around them.
When God called Moses, Moses showed great humility, because he saw his flaws and weakness. Moses tried to use the excuse that he was a poor speaker, Yet God provided by making his brother Aaron his mouthpiece. Later on, Moses gets upset and hits a rock so water would quench the thirst of the grumbling Israelites. This action took the Glory that was intended for God as his own. As a result, Moses, the greatest prophet of old was not allowed to bring the people into the promised land.
David, a man after God's heart murders an innocent man to cover his sin of adultery, and later trusts in his own abilities and takes a census instead of relying on the Lord that resulted in many innocent lives lost and the suffering of the innocent.
Then there is Solomon... Wow, I could write a book. The end result being the kingdom was split in two and idolitry thrived.
And what of Giddeon? A man who was not prepared nor confident in what the Lord has in mind for him to do?
Many of the leaders of old made huge mistakes and other leaders knew their flaws well enough to think God couldn't use them because they lacked leadership qualities. Yet God did great things through these leaders, including Debroah and many others I haven't mentioned, including the Apostles to which Peters mistakes are highlighted over and over.
So what do I get out of this? I'm not perfect, and none of the staff are perfect. We all make mistakes, but I believe God has assigned each and every moderator, administrator and owner of this site within it's proper time since Logan purchased the domain name and installed phpbb December 10, 2001. https://christianforums.net/Fellowship/index.php?threads/movies-to-rent-first-thread-on-cf.1/
. Just as there were both good and bad kings over Israel this site is no different as we grow and nature.
Jethro, the Father in Law to Moses, gave Moses some good advice on managing Israel, and Moses took it. Likewise, it's good advice and I'm learning. As a result of lessons learned, I will be adding additional Administrators to this site. None of us are perfect and while we are held at a higher standard, I ask you extend us grace when we miss the mark. Being on staff can be a thankless job at times but those that accept understand it's a servant's role and it is accepted in humility.
I want to thank each and everyone of our members for making this site your home. Your contributions to the fellowship are appreciated.
