I'm walking through the valley right now. At first I thought to have you good brothers and sisters pray for me, but it might just be an answered prayer already. Isn't trials and tribulations what builds our character, patience, and endurance? Tribulation is the path to the kingdom of God (I did a word study on Narrow and it came out tribulation, hmm). So God's working in Edwards life right now...BUT!!

The effectual and fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much...and there's some very righteous souls on this board so hey let's all get in on it.. Please!

The Lord knows what it's about. You may as well mention my son Deen's name too. Thank you brothers and sisters.

I used to think these times were when God is not with me. Now I'm realizing that, this IS God answering my prayer and working in my life, doing what I asked. So that I may grow and be renewed and learn to overcome and have patience.

I'm content. Bless you all. Praise the Lord!

Love you Brother Edward, and will be praying for you and Dean. It's the trials in our lives that bring us to depend on our LORD when all we do seems to go wrong. It's not a chastisement of punishment, but God's ongoing work in all our lives as He trains us in the way we should go.

There's great reward for suffering, or enduring in the trial of your faith (1 Pet 1:7).
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; IF SO BE that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

In Php 3:8 Paul speaks of that which he suffered that he might win Christ, and this is the hope he had of being in the bride.

I am content. But it can be rough sometimes...then I think about how much He suffered, and my puny problems don't seem to compare to that and on some level, I'm grateful for that.

You know, that's what I find so interesting about Christianity...on the one hand, He does all sorts of obviously good things for us. On the other hand, trials, tribulations, and general suffering are a good thing, too, even though the world doesn't see them as such.

Anyway, my prayers are with you and your family, of course. And thanks for this post, too...I think today I needed to be reminded: walking with Christ isn't always easy or fun.

I am just reading this thread Edward. I don't know what is going on, you sick? your back again? A son issue? but I do know the Lord Spoke to me, and had you obeyed him (YOUR HEART) and did what you knew to do years ago, Even though it would seemed hard, but went with what you knew needed to be done, things would be fixed today.

That is all I know.

Now if I am hearing the Lord correctly, Edward is suffering because of Edward. The Lord said I will step in and fix this, but I think we have an obedience issue.

Now remember you and I prayed and believed together for that girl that needed a place to live, and God used you to take care of it after we got direction? Works the same way Brother, and P.M me, and I'll give you my number.

Something I find significant about this passage is the phrase "walk", notice he is walking through the valley, not running screaming and freaking out, but because God is with him he has the courage to walk through the valley. I'm praying for you Edward.

I'll P.M you my new Number. I am not right, I had no idea it was a son issue still. I know what the Lord said though, had you obeyed him years back, this would not be a issue.

Well then you know what you did. 99% of the afflictions of the righteous are from lack of obedience. That is why when I hear sob stories, I already know the person did not do what they knew to do in their heart long ago. Not God's fault, Not God testing faith, Not some suffering for Jesus.

It's suffering for Ignoring God.

I knew a Christian man in prison who was framed for molesting a women daughter. She got his house and truck in a settlement and he got 8 years in prison.

Well, he came to me crying, and wanted me to explain to him why God allowed this, and was God testing his faith, or what was going on. He said he was falsely accused, and did no wrong.

This is where suffering for Jesus doctrines come in........... People being stupid. We suffer for going out and preaching the Word, that is the only suffering we should be experiencing and even in that we are more than overcomes.

I listened to the long sob story of all the details of what happened. I had no question the guy was innocent and framed. The Lord would have told me if that where not so.

I told him I had to pray about this, we just don't give people pat answers with scriptures. We need to hear the Holy Spirit.

The Lord spoke to me. (not in my ears, inside) he said, "You go ask him what I told him before that women moved in."

So i did, and he claimed God never said a word to him. Well, God does not have to speak, God also puts things in our heart to follow, that we know is right.

I asked one more time....... What did you know in your heart to be true before you let this women move in?

he said....... "Well, I knew it was wrong, and even my mother told me not to do it."

I then look at him...... I said, "Then stop complaining about being in prison and loosing everything. You disobeyed God, and thank God you have your health, and your life, God can restore back your life, but you need to repent and stop crying about this."



I P.M'ed you my new Number Edward. Now lets believe, have faith, that God will speak to both of us and give us an answer. I believe I already heard something, lets compare notes.

The important thing is that you do pray. I believe God will be kind to us, help us, and see things we did not understand or see before.
I will pray in tongues. Might take Daughter to Gma's, so I'll call back if you just talk to the wife.

I just told you what the Lord said, At that time I had no clue what the issue was, but I believe the Lord told me something else which we can compare notes, and I now think I know. If your pondering it though, then Most likely I herd the Lord perfectly.

Not a issue though, God is Good. Most of my great testimonies are from me ignoring the Lord the first time. Seriously. They are bail me out testimonies for being stupid.

You have peace, now follow the peace. When the Lord helps us and gives us answers, it changes everything, removes the doubts, and gives us a vision for better things in the future by which we are made glade.

There will never be a perfect time to go, go by faith, just like Abraham not knowing where the heck he was going.

Make sure to do everything right, and check in with God about handing things over. If it comes up in your heart and it seems good, make sure it gets done, even if it's a bit more work.
