Prayer Cloths & Water

Who here believes that prayed over prayer cloths and water today can heal ? And who believes that all preachers who use or promote them are a fraud ? Who believes that the people you see get healed on TV that are picked at random are planted ?

God will be faithful to heal us through mediums such as prayer cloths and water, but the things we see on the Word Network are false. Blessings and healings aren't whored out for financial gain. They're freely given and freely received.

So you are saying that those folks are planted ?

Ever know any one who went to one of the 'those' meetings and was healed? ..
Ever know people who have gone and are not healed..
way back my sister can remember going with Grandma to a tent meeting... late 40s early 50s ... They found themselves in a tent of really sick folks.. the ones ya dont see.. they were ushered out quickly...

Hey they think that they found some of the Ark.
I'm aware that they think they have. The proof is the issue. Chain of custody proof and then someone has to test it...actually physically touch the thing. And the current favorite is surrounded by "fakes" all claiming to be the original too. All closely guarded by people living with the artifacts.

All's good till you find the real one eh?

I don't. That's not to say a person couldn't get healed while having one of these things. But It's the power of the Holy Spirit that heals, not some cloth or water. I guess if these kind of things just were used by the person as a reminder of that power, that's fine. But if they trusted in the actual cloth or water to heal them, in my understanding they either aren't going to get healed, or if they do it wasn't the Holy Spirit that did it since they had faith in the cloth or water instead of in God.

...And who believes that all preachers who use or promote them are a fraud ?
I haven't seen one yet that didn't come across as a fraud to me. Especially when they want to send one to you for a specified monetary "donation"!

Who believes that the people you see get healed on TV that are picked at random are planted ?
It's been investigated and proven that at least some, if not all of them have been planted or in some other way manipulated to put on a show rather than it being a real healing from God.

It's not that I don't believe in healing. The power of God's Spirit used me one time to heal a person, and it was very dramatically visible. very complete, permanent, and medically verified that the only explanation was a miraculous healing. So I know that when God truly uses you to heal someone, you don't jump around on stage and draw attention to yourself. You humbly praise God for what he did, fully realizing that you had NOTHING to do with it, and the purpose for the healing was to bring GLORY to GOD, not to ME. So it's not that I don't believe God can heal. I just don't believe He requires or even uses a cloth, water, or a lying fraudulent preacher prancing around on a big stage screaming at the top of his lungs to do it.

The Ark of the Covenant, or Noah's Ark?
Just as a tidbit....
In the less popular copy of Josephus they tell that the original Noah's ark was cut up into amulets and bracelets as talismans that would ward off illnesses and evil spirits. IOW a tourist trap.

Of course it's not exactly what we believe to be true but.... Just goes to show that this sort of thing isn't new

Anything to make a buck.

Both, the Ark Of the Covenant is supposed to be in Ethiopia. And the Noah's Ark around Mount Arrat if I can remember right.
I've always heard the Ark was in Ethiopia too. The Coptic Orthodox Church oversees it. The Eastern Orthodox have a church where Christ's body was laid, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

Keepers of the Lost Ark?
Christians in Ethiopia have long claimed to have the ark of the covenant. Our reporter investigated
