[__ Prayer __] Prayer for dad

My dad never tells me, but the truth is my dad is getting on now and gets sick. Hes got some immune disease and for a whole month could not even dressed himself he was in so much pain. I had to wash and clean his car today, I never seen it so neglected it was dirty and full of cobwebs, and this morning he took his dose of 8 pills, heart stabilized, this and that. His lawns used to be perfectly mowed and he was proud of having nice cut laws, and now they look like crap.

I see him now only a couple times a year and im visit now on my holiday, but its obvious his past is catching up with him and hes not talking to me about his health. Maybe it's a parents thing they dont want there kids to worry but i think he needs prayer for healing and in general.

Indeed your prayers will be lifted up.

I had the honor of taking care of my parents in their waning days on earth. It is a challenge but also a blessing to give back what they did for me growing up.

Honor mother and father is a life long commitment is what was impressed on my heart by the Holy Spirit.

Of course they were stubborn and did not want to leave Florida and live with me and family so long distance care meant me traveling to Florida often. I set them up with the care they needed and as truthful to His word God provided.

I will pray brother.

Yes parents will refuse help out of pride and not wanting to interfere in your independence. They also do not want to give up their independence but they need help at older ages. You are just going to have to insist you want to help out of love for them and appreciation for what they did for you.

Watching parents get older and more dependent on others care is very hard to watch. It was for me and my wife.

Praying for him Brother kiwidan. Like a hundred year old New Orleans musician once said during a celebration for him: if I had known I would live this long I sure would have taken better care of myself.

May our Father richly bless him and you during this struggle in his life in Jesus' name. Amen.

Will be praying for your dad, I live in the Atlanta Ga. area and have a small lawn service. Would be happy to check his lawn during the winter months and when grass starts to grow in the spring I will take care of his lawn for no charge, if possible

Lol. I told dad yesterday I will mow his lawns and he gave me the hard talk If i mow them they must be perfectly cut and all in perfect straight lines. The lawns must be cut to perfection. Lol.

They're going to have to learn to give up perfection..
It happens slowly, but they will.
I've seen this happen in my two Aunts, 89 and 93.

They're lucky to have a son so good as you.

Im mowing the lawns today and im going to make one crooked line right in the middle for a joke its going to be great. He will have a little cry but he will get over it.
