Psalm 83

I'm not pre-trib, but believe we will go through all things of Rev as there is much tribulation to come before the Lords return and Gods judgement. Israel, like many of us who face trials and tribulations, have always cried out to God and God has always heard their cries and Gods wrath will be poured out in His own appointed time upon those who persecute His people.

Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Psa 83:5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
Psa 83:6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
Psa 83:7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Psa 83:8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

All of these literal opponents of Israel have already been judged, so in effect Psa 83 is already fulfilled. However, if you want to apply the Psalm to today you first need to decide exactly about whom, and why, you're praying to God for the destruction of these modern peoples, rather than their salvation.

Dear Sister Kathi, I am pre-trib and read Mat 24:6, And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. We have seen the earthquakes, and wars right along and they are but a taste of that to come. "Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and when you see Israel performing the daily sacrifice again, know that the time is right at the door. Dan 12:11.

Because our lord is a consuming fire . . . Comment edited.
To me God is never cruel, but longsuffering, and with grace abounding. Psa 86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

1 Cor 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

God judges righteously; do we judge Him in unrighteousness? I don't need a reply to this.

I believe that endless hell fire/darkness is maliciously cruel.

What you don't understand is that nobody needs to go there. People end up in hell because of their own choosing. God doesn't force it on them, they willingly accept it.

Eugene what do you think the timeline is in the endtimes regarding Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39?

To me complete fulfillment of Psalm 83 tells of a time to come where the nations that came against Israel will receive their comeuppance visited by great tribulation, but that so as to call on the name of the Lord. To them that cry 70 AD, I see no indication of nations judged during the times of the Gentiles. At that time there will continue for a time those nations ruling in usurpation until our Lord puts down all rule and authority. Psa 83:16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

During the millennium there will be unprecedented peace for a thousand years but to me and I’m not prophesying but Ezeliel 38 & 39 is referring to the end of the tribulation where it will take Israel 7 months to bury them. After the millennium Satan will again stir up nations to come against the saints in Rev 20:8-9 and God takes direct control of the situation and turns them into crispy critters.

I’m sorry Kathi it took me this long to get back to you. My wife had a dental appt. early this morning; oh, my wallet hurts.
