[__ Prayer __] Ran Out Of Food

i know its only been 1 day since you posted, but....anything happening? I prayed for you multiple times last nite (not patting myself on the back...I have the luxury of having time+space to pray to my heart's content), and...I hate the idea of you going around hungry.

I'm honestly, seriously, truly --not-- trying to be too nosy or pry too much or whatever, I'm just...concerned. Hunger is serious business, so is food insecurity.

Anyway...please keep us all posted. Prayers continue. :)

I am asking the Lord for a financial miracle so I can purchase food. At the moment I am not working.
That's a miserable place to be my friend, but I have been there myself, more than once. You have my prayers. And if you were close by me you could stop by and I'd sent you packin with some chow. I'd even mail you some if you want to send me an address, privately.

1987. Shortly after the stock market mini crash the housing market was crushed. Interest rates had shot up 2% in the course of a few months, prior. I was in the housing business. The well went dry for 6 months. Didn't earn a dime. Used up all my savings. Got behind on house payments. A couple days before Christmas came, and we were out of food. I mean out. No money, no food. Nothing. I was never so glad when a believing buddy of mine brought us over a box of food. He didn't even know we were out. I don't usually share the strains of my life with anyone.

Yeah, I was extremely grateful for that box of food. It was heaven sent. But my wife and I learned a lot from that experience (and other experiences like it.) That our happiness should not be hinged on money. It was a lesson that I had to learn in reverse, later. When God blessed me beyond what I could ever hope for on the other side of the ledgers. Learned some things from that end too. It's a far far uglier place to be. Only wolves dwell there.

James 2:6
But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

It is a process. Rome wasn't built in a day. God knows the condition of our hearts. Every person is a work in progress. I have my moments where I feel so overwhelmed, yet God constantly reminds me of His goodness.
