Good morning, where is everyone this fine Sunday morning? It’s the Sabbath you say? Oh my no; that ended at 6:00 PM Saturday evening. So what are you doing? Assembling together on what many would like to call the Lord’s Day. You've got to be kidding; that’s future when Jesus puts down all rule and authority. Hmmm.

How’s this for Bible Study? Remember that this is not a debate forum, and I’ll consider any disagreement or objection other than discussion so just be sure and remember someone running around with a rolling pin.

Saturday is the Sabbath.

The seventh Day of Rest is the Millennium.

The Lord's Day is Sunday.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, Revelation 1:10

Not so fast JLB. There's those who interpret that verse, as I do as well, that "on the Lord's Day" is equivalent to saying "The Day of the Lord" (the end times), and has nothing to do with the day of the week. John was having visions of the end times. So this passage is not really helpful in dealing with the day of the week and the Sabbath issue --- apples and oranges. However, this is a bible study forum and I'm not going to take up the debate here, but just want to point this out.

Very astute perception Tim. Another view of that time is noted as “In that day.” Long story short, John was caught to the beginning of the of the Lord’s Day at the beginning of the tribulation, and was given three vision view points; what was , what is, and what will be from that time. There is not one inference in scripture I remember that suggests that Sunday is designated as the Lord’s Day.

Blessings in Christ Jesus.

:hysterical Right on brother. I do have a point but enjoy the fellowship of talking these things out, and I attempt to not get too serious on the trip.

Hmmm, OK we'll let it slide, only because I like your avatar. You might want to start a thread in Apologetics & Theology there will be a lot of debate I'm sure.

The only place in the entire Bible where the exact phrase "the Lord's day" appears is Rev. 1:10, where John says he was in the spirit on the Lord's day. Some say he was referring to Sunday, others that he was referring to the end times and still others that he meant the Sabbath. But one single verse isn't enough to be dogmatic about any of these interpretations. The Sabbath is mentioned much more often (150 verses in the English Standard Version), and there is no doubt about when it is. It is the seventh day which, like all other days according to Hebrew reckoning, started and ended at sunset. It is what we would call from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. There is no evidence that the time was ever changed to Sunday.

OK guys, This thread is going to and is now becoming a debate. Eugene, how about starting a new thread in A&T?

I looked over the entire threa a few times, and I didn't see any debate. What are you referring to?

Romans 14:5;
"One person considers one day more sacred than another: another considers everyday alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind".
I am fully convinced that Sunday is the Lord's Day!

In that sense with the following scripture could we consider every day the Lord's Day?
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Romans 14:5;
"One person considers one day more sacred than another: another considers everyday alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind".
I am fully convinced that Sunday is the Lord's Day!

And again, to point this out, consider the context of that passage. Paul was not talking about the Jewish calendar and sacred days. The subject was about eating meat offered to idols, weaker brother, etc.

I think it's time for you to address the OP.
